Nothing is awful about it, and if you had a good time that's a whole other story. You didn't mention anything about enjoying it, you said it was a hippie festival, which in my book nearly guarantees a bad time, haha. There was no catch. I did nothing ALL DAY and got paid for it. I spent the whole day outside in PERFECT weather, talked to tons of cool people, listened to free music, ate free food, and got paid cash under the table. That, and I think I lost about 3 or 4 pounds just walking around all day. Failing to see what's so awful here.
Getting paid to do something you enjoy = success.Leave a comment:

When I was in college, one thing that I learned the hard way is that when you learn how to beat the system you shouldn't tell ANYONE.I almost got expelled from school and a felony for that shit. I bought a set of windows 2000 books from my vo-tech school, in the wrappers, for $15. Turned around and "returned" them to Barnes and Nobles for about $390. They gave me a gift card which went on ebay immediately afterwards. More people did it, and one fuckin dipshit wore his vo-tech shirt when doing it.
The first year that we ever had phones on campus, (around 1990-91) we figured out how to hack the PBX auto-attendant. Somewhere along the line we figured out that if you called the school's 800 number after hours and waited for the recording you could simply press '9' and then call anywhere around the country at the university's expense. And because all of the campus phones were 4-digit extensions on the PBX, our friends and family members from out of town could call in on the 800 number, get the recording and when prompted by the "If you know your party's 4-digit extension.. blah..blah..blah.."
After a while so many people were doing it that eventually there were parents who were calling the administration office on their 800 number asking to speak to their kids thinking that this was a free service provided by the school.Leave a comment:
