Can't say that I have had that. I will have to get me a bottle next time and give it a shot. I am about out of scotch and was thinking on another bottle of 18yr Glenmorangie for sure but like to have several brands on hand.

I am a big fan of Laphroaig Small Cask 12 year old, Lagavulin, and more recently, the Compass Box range of whiskies - normally I am very anti blend, but John Glaser, the master whiskymaker has proven time and time again that he can make a more consistent product.

His most recent release, the Canto series - is a range of 16 differing barrels, each destined for a different country.

Each barrel is slightly differing in flavour, with prices about to sky rocket due to Japanese collectors who want all 16 different bottles.

Canto Cask is a one-off range of single cask,
cask strength bottlings. A canto is the
principal form of division of a long poem and
we like the analogy to a range of single casks,
each contributing something unique to an
overall theme. Our 2007 Canto Cask range
features Highland malt whisky aged in a
variety of different types of French and
American oak casks of differing toasting
levels. There are 16 different cask bottlings,
each made for a specific country.
I am lucky enough to have two bottles coming my way.

We were just talking about this locally and I went in search of the A'bunadh. Took a while but I found a place that had a single bottle. Possibly the bets scotch that goes for less than $60 a bottle (albeit only a few bucks less). Its cask so you do need to be responsible when drinking it.
              Im now E30less.

Used to drink scotch and some others. I usually only drink Wine now which could start its own.
