You should be back to normal in a couple days. Just make sure to not get a dry socket cause those can hurt like hell. But pain killers were definitely a plus to this procedure. So did they knock you out for it, or just local anesthetics?

Enjoy the meds, and just give youself a couple days, time is the healer.

Sometimes you got to go slow to go fast. My Gramps used to tell me that, lot of truth in it on occasion.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Ditto, no sucking anything to avoid dry sockets. :)

I was knocked the fuck out when they took mine out surgically. All 4 at once too. Later that evening I had zero swelling and zero pain as well. As a matter fact I ate a big hamburger that I grilled out on the grill that evening for dinner. Just make sure to keep your sockets flushed to keep from getting dry socket and you should be fine by the first of the week since it sounds like you are not as lucky as I was.... I was also given mepraghan for pain, back in the day before todays great meds, but I never took the first one of the 7 day supply..... I did use the very best oral surgeon for my removal though.... No channel locks used on my mouth LOL

took me two or three days for the swelling to go down and be all back to normal. I never had really any pain from it but I did stay the first day in bed, just because I could and made my mom get me everything. She then realized I was fine and made me start taking care of myself. Just live like you normally do but don't eat hard food for a day or two.

I was paranoid about dry socket because I wanted to recover as fast as I could. I just stopped chewing things for a week. Anything I ate I would just swallow so I wouldn't get food particles packed in the holes.

                I ate a lot of Panera ;)

Took me 6 days. they were fully impacted going in sideways, I kept throwing up the pain medicine so the pain was definitely strong for about a week... Hurt like a bitch, it will probably take a few days to stop...

i heard if you scrub them out with a brillo pad and lemon juice it will heal twice as fast, and it feels real good.

but thats just what i heard.

Be sure to follow your aftercare instructions to the letter. And be sure to rinse you mouth out a lot with warm salt water. Don't eat ANYTHING that takes excessive chewing for a while, stick to fluids and things like smoothies, Jello, etc. You want to avoid drysocket at ALL COSTS, it is supposedly ungodly painful. Just take care of yourself and follow the aftercare, you'll be fine.

Did you go fully under for the procedure? Did they have to break any of them out? I had all 4 of mine done at once, and they knocked my ass out. They had to break 2 of them out (the ones on the bottom). My mom had SIX!

Recovering from having wisdom teeth pulled varies from person to person. I can remember when my sister had to get hers removed - chipmunk cheeks and a the better part of a week to fully recover. When I had mine removed, no puffy cheek look and I was back to normal with no needs for additional meds after two days. It should heal quickly....just keep your mouth rinsed out with lukewarm water and follow the recommendations from your physician. You'll be ok by next week.

It should only hurt for a day or two, make sure to rinse with salt water, if you are paranoid. did you get stitches? i had stitches when i got mine out, that was a weird feeling a week later when they come loose and you can feel these strings dangling around in your mouth.

It is a pretty typical procedure, so no worries, just follow those instructions and you'll be good as new. I had a big steak the day after all four of mine came out.
