All the Z cars did (the 240s, 260s & 280s) up until sometime during the early-to-mid 1980s.....that's when they dropped the straight six and replaced it with a similar displacement V6. For a couple of years beginning right around 1980 they offered a turbo model as well.

I had a 72 for a short period of time and I really liked that car. The only place I could park it was at the end of my driveway in the grass and everyone who drove by thought I was selling it. I would get several offers every week and I figured that if someone named my price, I would sell it. I bought it for $100 and I wish I would have kept it. The car had over 260,000 miles on it and the car was indeed in a condition that reflected the milage.
