Recipe for success: Play your conference, go undefeated in conference. Schedule all cupcakes as non conference opponents, beat them also. Go undefeated with a shitty schedule. Its not too honorable, but its the way to get into the big game.

if #1 and #2 lost, #3 OSU and #4 Georgia should have moved up theoretically. but LSU got put ahead of Georgia in the end, so what the hell was the point of a numbered ranking system anyways?

Theres no point in numbering the teams if the BCS is just going to appoint who goes to the bowls anyway.

They really need to coordinate all the conferences so there is some semblence of consistency. Teams are being punished for playing in their conference championship while OSU gets to sit it all out after losing to an unranked @ home and having a rough game against #21.
