Well I should've left the r32 out. It seems pretty overpriced compared to the current sti/evo, at least if you're only looking for stock performance. It is a very nice package overall when you consider DSG, interior design, and other features.. ever seen the inside of an sti/evo? Aftermarket is pretty strong for it as well.
However, I do think people would cross shop the GTI and the WRXmore often. GTI is 22k with 200hp/tq and DSG. Impreza is 20k with 170hp/tq. WRX is 224hp for 24k. That's why I brought it up.
