I just picked up some old Schwinn "Sprint" 10 speed road bikes for free. The frames are in good shape but the rest needs some sprucing up. These old bikes anything special?

Hey Guys,

I sold my e30 a bit ago but for some damn reason I can't get away from this place. :D

Anyways, I love this thread and have looked through about all of it. I'm about to be working about 1 1/2 - 2 miles from work and I'm going to try and pick up a road bike. I'm just wondering something good for everyday to and from work with the often weekend fun rides. Any advise on good bikes to pick up ? brands ? is fixed a good idea ? Just anything you want to say. I mean I have done quite a bit of reading in other places online also just trying to get some imput from people that ride alot.

1st rider broke his wrist, 2nd rider was wearing armor & was sore but ok, afaik. i did the post crash check on rider 1's bike, broke frame, sheared some suspension bolts. yeti frame warranty, body armor ftw!

I can relate to that... I had a nice little biff in Vail a few years ago. Would have been much worse without body armor!

that sucks, i ate shit off a booter to endless tranny landing about 6months ago, knocked myself silly. I still dont remember anything about the crash, only from what people tell me.

Riding those 123's with grips on the drop SUCKS when it's pouring out... I had a 6-10pm night class tonight and we got out at 8:15 to watch the phillies... i raced home and got caught in a wicked downpour... i was slippin off my bars like mad!

P.S. i got out of class early and rode down to my local bar with my friend... I rode home WASTED... and i'm even drunker now. how's my typing????/

I went for a ride tonight with my friend Lauren, we just cruised around downtown and over the bridge into Palmetto. Broke into a friends house to take a leak... It was quite fun.

Picked up my '09 We The People Recon friday afternoon, shit is sweeeet. Our buddy owns a bike shop, so I picked it up at dealer cost and saved a bunch of money. I might pick up a fixie with the left overs, win-win situation :D
