So I rode my bike to the auto parts store to pick up a part for my disabled car and on the way home decided to stop at the groceries store for just a couple things, was gone for maybe 4 mins and my bars and stem were gonzo. Way to kick a guy while he is down. My bus pas had one day on it, my car was awaiting a part and my bike was now down and Pushing it home. However with my saving almost $400 for not replacing the clutch as the lame shop suggested and replacing the clutch slave my self I decided to drive around Sunday and put my bike back together. Now I have some risers like I wanted and a stem that required shims but at least I can ride it until I find a stem I like.
When I get motivated I will take a real pic but just felt like sharing.Comment

I found an old schwinn varsity in my in-laws garage. It's quite small but everythings there and seems to work. Plans are to clean it up so my wife can ride w/ me. Pics to follow09 BMW 328xi touring 6spd

im late to join this thread but ive always known about it, I just got a peugeot carbolite circa 1981, its an 8 speed, but for a brief time my dad had converted it to a fixie or a single speed, he also took the breaks off it, i think it had the pedals that lock the rear wheel up when u try to pedal backwards, i know it was like 500 new, and its a carbolite, so im told that its not really that valuable, i guess carbolite is low end or something, someone please update on what i have here

My baby, 1989 Guerciotti SLX with new school 10s Campagnolo. Steel is real.

-- 70's Bianchi lightweight, converted to fixed.
-- '80's Guerciotti road bike converted to 'cross bike.
-- '84 LeMond TVT. One of the earliest carbon bikes. All the top riders rode TVT's during the mountain stages. They were noodly as hell but exceptionally lightweight. 16lbs.
