loosely translated from English, I believe he meant that the bike is fast.

the bike shop a few blocks from me sells those Masi fixed/single speed bikes. they're a little weird to be honest. Masi is coming out with some really strange shit lately.

Yeah, I think Haro bought the rights to the Masi name in the US. I don't think any of their frames are made in Italy, nor is the company affiliated with the Masi family.

Crap! In the ensuing pandemonium, I would have pocketed like 6 Chris King hubs.

I went for a ride last night after not riding for 4 days, still no soreness or anything, so my legs must be getting in better shape. Now I gotta start working on the upper body.

My bike will be at my door tomorrow. This weekend I get to learned what fixed gear is all about.

Have you not ridden one yet at all?

                              Nope :)

But I'm excited by the challenge.

You're going to want to try and coast after a few rotations of pedaling. FIGHT THE URGE. It's your natural tendency after riding freewheel bikes for so long. After a month of riding my fixie, riding a freewheel bike feels really strange, I don't like it at all.
