Thats wild dude. i dont think i could pull that off. how long was the ride (days, hrs?) sounds like a fuckin blast though

The ride was about 7-8 hours total with a lot of stopping and waiting around for the rain. We got stuck in between towns for 90% of the rain though. I swear, riding in rain like that, brings mental breakdown like the quickness. It was like Chinese water torture... Plus I hate riding in rain. I almost lost it. Then the sun came out, and my aura became more positive. So we kept on riding.
It wasnt that bad.. I trained minimally for it before hand, if you can call taking shots of whiskey and hitting the bong training..

I'm curious...how did you fair with all the weight on the front end with that rack set up? Any issues turning or keeping the bike straight?

I've thought of doing that temporarily but never went for it.

North Carolina is really straight and we over prepared for the trip. My friend rode with the weight too, he said it was fine.

And by the way, I started building up my road bike. Should be done soon. Still looking for shifters and a front brake to complete it.
Anyone heard of Campagnolo? Is it good?

This is my new project i just finished. 70's Raleigh reynolds 531 tubing. Reused all original parts except the fixed sprocket and new headset/crank bearings + tires and new chain. Not bad for a free bike.

God damn, I just went riding today for the first time in like 2 weeks. The weather has been shit lately (non-stop thunderstorms), and I've been so busy getting the car ready for the Picnic and another local show that I just haven't been riding at all.

I feel like someone kicked the shit out of me, that was way too damn long to go without riding at all.
