dude must have money too lol. sixtels are not cheap :P I almost went for a 1/6 of Firestone Walker wookey jack a distributor got stuck with after a customer changed his mind after an order. Would have been $115 for me... shoulda done it.
I think I am too young to like the taste of it. I want to gag every time I take a sip. I would much rather sip on hard stuff, but one glass of that beer got me buzzin for sure.

Yeah, I can say he has some money. Retired Richmond Detective, so he also comes with lots of stories to tell.

He also loves to share and hands out glasses of it like nothing.

    3) Yup, and Im the one who said it first. I guess we will agree to disagree. Do you brew your own beer?

    4) Well frankly, you just lost almost all your beer cred with me from that statement. I dont really care for Saison DuPonts as they are over carbonated, but I consider Bud Light as only marginally better than Corona on the palate, but I respect that is your choice.

    Regards.
    1) I don't believe you can argue that some beer enthusiasts would chose a pale lager over a double IPA. A "significant portion" would be defined as enough to notice. not a majority.

    2) Wet horse blanket is one of the most sought after flavor profiles of some belgian lambics and Gueuzes. Also, American Sours like Russian River Supplication are regarded as some of the best in the world. Also, a lot of DIPA guys like the "dank and musty" characteristics of a hop bomb.

    3) Yes

    4) Bud Light > almost all Belgian styles besides the tripel - I would rather have something with very little standard hop flavor, than a flavor which i do not like. Would you prefer water over a BCBS? such is my reasoning for a watery beer over a beer style i dont enjoy.

BTW: Drinking a Flying Fish Red Fish tonight. Hoppy Amber ale which is quite enjoyable. glad some good beer is coming out of NJ. Heading to Kane Brewing in Ocean TWP next week to check out the supposed best in NJ :)

    WTF are you talking about??

Ive said over and over "To each their own" and to agree to disagree for crying out loud!

An insulted you for oh because you happen to like a beer that you like.
Youre an idiot. I havent insulted anyone. In fact, until your dumb ass came along I found the debate stimulating and mature.

Guess we should thank him for letting us know that our opinions are Wrong and you shall not have any in the future. Correct?
LMAO!! You certainly have quite the imagination! Just curious, how old are you?

Agreed. What I am eating is a variable as well. I actually will indulge in a decent crisp Pilsner or Pale Ale on a hot day, say cutting the grass or working in the yard. They can be very refreshing.

This is simply because not all people like the taste profile of bitter, grapefruit, and pine in their beers.

Just like you don't like imperial stouts. To each his own.

    Edit: Just like i dont like most Belgian styles, I would chose a Bud Light over a Brett Saison DuPont in a mutually exclusive situation;

Agreed. I have tried a lot of IPA's (Portland craft breweries have a boner for them) and some are delicious and some are so hoppy that I sneeze. There are good and bad beers of all types. I choose beer like I choose music and movies. It depends on my mood, time of day, weather, and just what I feel like at that moment. Variety is the spice of life.

"Skunked" as in the ending taste of the beer. Agreed it was not "skunked" as to the true definition of the term, but the ending resulting taste (as in your words "...with taste profiles of vinegar, sour, dank, musty, and wet horse blanket ") is the same as being done so.
