my buddys always laugh at the crank sunroof on my 318is, its like an on-going joke.

GF doesnt care, she just has to sit there and look pretty, thats the only task i give her.

ha ha as i was reading this thread i was thinking how cool it would be to have a power sunroof but then i realized a fully retractable roof completly owns. it would be cool to have a sunroof on my hardtop for the winter though

my old car did that...every time I pulled down the crank it would fall off...yet another reason chicks didn't like my car...although I did get a "cute" not that long ago, apparently the equivalent of "nice"

they sit there fiddling with their right hand for like 30 seconds tryingto find the door handle in the pitch black interior. its cute.

If only they realized that you grab the handle with your closest hand, and reach over with the furthest hand, the door latch is perfectly placed.

i havent seen the crank fasination yet, but the rest are so true.

when i was a kid riding shotgun with my grandfather in this car, it always tripped me out how the console faces the driver. Like its for the driver only attitude. All of this cars quirks surpassed anything about the fleet of audis, vw's, and mercedes my family owned (being the first and only bmw in the family.)

people can never seem to find the lever to flip the seats forward either, they always just go for the reclining lever

What cracks me up about the seat recliner is how when a passenger wants to adjust it back, it rapidly falls backwards, causing them to fall back too.

My girfriend does that shit. Before I even get a chance to push in the brake pedal she pushes the check button.

Thankfully mine doesnt do that since I replaced all of the shocks but what is annoying is when someone goes to get into the back and instead of pulling the handle at the top, you know, the very large, easy to reach one, they reach all the way down and pull the seatback handle and the seat flips foward quickly scaring the shit out of them.

I couldnt tell you how many people have taken a headrest to the face doing that.
                          Im now E30less.

i remember one time i pulled up to a starbucks and some girl complimented my ride and how it was nice for an old BMW to have a sunroof, so she needed a ride home, got in an realized i didnt have a sunroof when she looked up and said "WHAT THE FUCK?"
She realized i had bought this:

                            E30 sunroof

                            now i live in shame

@ Bimmerista - Yeah get them expensive ass seat shocks fixed! I off course got the driver's side done first. Pain in the ass if you don't use a compressor

                              @ Boomerang- I know you didn't.................
