This shit really pisses me off..... I don't mind if two people, live the life, and expect to be shot at... fine, that's their choice...

It's the innocent parties that really, piss me off.... why in the fuck don't these guys get that?

For example, there was a shooting at a local bar a couple weeks ago, 5 wounded, 1 dead.... none of which, the intended target...

OK here's the deal from someone who has done security and worked in bars since '96.

you can't have a hip hop/r&b bar and expect it to survive more than a couple of years. the clientele you attract by the nature of your theme are going to be your downfall. they A: don't want to pay for their drinks, and bitch about the prices...no mater how much you are charging they will bitch and NOT tip!
B: will pick fights in the club to make a spectacle of themselves in front of their friends. here's an example: i used to work with a black guy from Chicago named Shawn (this was at a non bar related job) when he found out that i had gotten another bar job (side work like his ) he started telling me about working at Zazoo (one of the longer existing hip hop clubs in AZ) "we don't tip, i don't know why it is just a cultural thing i think. it pisses me off when i am bar tending and i just flat out ignore the asshole the next time he comes up to the bar an i tell him i won't serve him because he didn't tip me last time and wont until he tips me. we also like to make a lot of noise and posture like we are going to fight, but usually don't because no one wants to be the looser in the fight and loose face. unfortunately when a fight erupts it usually ends up in a fight with someone pulling a gun and shooting with out really aiming, so bystanders get shot" i had never worked at a club that did hip hop so i remembered it but never ran into the situation until years later, i worked at a club that occasionally had hip hop shows. everything he said came true!!! we even invented what we called S.E.P. (standard ethnic pricing) as a bartender you make your $ from tips, after being blanked 17-22 times in a row we bumped the prices up $1. that way we got tipped whether they wanted to or not. we didn't change the strength of their drinks, but when someone would tip us on and we had raised the prices, they got HOOKED UP on their next drink. no tips = no bar staff= no club.

C: there is ALWAYS issues in the parking lot after the bar closes, usually resulting in the cops being called. every time the cops come out it is a danger to your liquor licence. liquor licences are VERY expensive and it doesn't take long until you change the theme of your bar to save your licence!!
i have been in 2 OUTRIGHT RIOTS in the parking lot with 50-60 people fighting, guns being drawn, and lots of police being called. when did they occur and who was attending????? answer: hip hop and underage (under 21) kids. we ended up having to WAND everyone coming through the doors for our own protection until the club had honored all the shows that we were locked into a contract with the promoter. when we would have 21 and up hip hop (other than drink price bitching and not tipping) we never had an issue luckily.

D: you can't have events at your club with under 21 Y/o kids especially under 18. they just don't know how to behave (not all, but it only takes a few to ruin it) and if they are under 18 they know that the laws are lenient for them and they just don't seem to care about the consequences.

the bottom line is that the club should have wanded the people when they were coming in the club because it was an under 21 show. they should have prob hired an off duty cop to do extra security too when it is that kind of show and they already have a history of shootings. as fun as it is to go to a bar when you are under 21 for a special event this is not all that uncommon at said events, for every 1 that makes it on the news, there is another 6 that don't unless it is a high profile deal or victim you wont hear about it. it just isn't a real safe thing to go to.

last year i had a guy try to shoot the owner of the bar in the face after he picked a fight with the owner. he pulled 2 guns on us, a 10mm glock and a 40 Sig. the first one that he tried to shoot the owner with he had taken away from him and beat with (pistol whipped). the 2nd one he had in his hand with his finger on the trigger while he was pinned on the ground, i couldn't get it out of his hand, so i stabbed him through the hand, took the gun away and tossed it to the owner's wife. by this time he was shirtless, covered in blood, stabbed in one leg. he got away again and tried to get a shot gun out of the backseat, so i kicked in the side of the knee on the other leg, dislocating his lower leg. he gets back up, with 2 injured legs, and tries a 2nd time for the shotgun, i smashed his head with the trucks door and knocked him out. his total damage: knife wounds to his hand and leg, his nose separated from his face as a result of being punched 3 times with brass knuckles, a broken/separated leg, large loss of blood, and many open wounds on his face from the beating.

right after he was knocked out i spun around and saw his friend leveling a K-Bar compact 40, yelled out to the owner, he fired at us, missed and hit their truck. i went low, he went high, we tackled him against the building, and started to work on him. we broke the orb of his eye, his upper jaw, 4 ribs, lower jaw and 1 arm. this ALL happened over the span of 10 min. 2 min later Scottsdale PD showed up, and blocked off Scottsdale rd (the main road through Scottsdale) for 8 blocks in both directions (right at the time all the bars were closing) the first thing they said after we told them what had happened was "wow, they chose poorly". they kept us there until 7 am taking statements and doing the investigation. no charges were ever filed against us. it turns out that he was a convicted coke dealer that had rolled on 4 other dealers, was in hiding, with a hit out on him for rolling, and he was coked out of his mind at the time. for his effort he got to go back to prison with his friends that he had rolled on .

his other friend had outstanding warrants and also got to go to prison for attempted homicide.
they never called either of us to testify, i guess they plea bargained.
there was blood stains in the parking lot for weeks that wouldn't wash away.

long post, but you get the idea btw... they were both of hispanic decent

Detroit is number 1 in the world!?? Even St Louis comes in at 1st in the "Violent Crime" category. I guess there are many a ways to chop these figures up... The below is 2006' numbers.

I had a shotgun pointed at me curtosy of Bucky Phillips a while back. A person I was friends with was his old cell mate and was supposedly harboring him. So the FBI was actually watching me for some reason. Come home in the middle of the night going kinda fast (like I usually do) Officer comes pointing a shotgun in the window after he pulls me over.

Also my neighbor pulled a club shooting similar to the original post. He said he was trying to shoot one guy that was running through the crowd and accidently shot 5 people. I only talked to him once when my laptop was stolen out of my house (I thought it was him)

Also I own a swap shop here in upstate NY and have gotten some people from NYC asking me if I have any guns (I dont have my FFL yet)

The population is much much more dense on that side of the country. But I agree, I like it here in bellevue and in puyallup where i grew up because i just feel safe. I also lived in capitol hill for a year and even there, I didn't think I'd ever get jumped or anything.

Yep thats the guy. I forgot to mention the guy I know is an ex-friend.
Apparently are friendship was worth $300. Therefore I dont care what happens to him because of what I say. Although I didnt even talk to him about it during the ordeal because his place was bugged and video taped from a telephone pole and I didnt want to be around him. If I remember right from talk about Bucky years ago he has killed prior to any of the sheriff shootings which is not known of course.

no, i was a big guy, 225lbs 6' tall pretty lean (pre-burn injury 3 months ago), and had always lifted and worked out, an ex skinhead..used to like to fight a lot, but i am actually very calm and even keeled. i usually don't have to or want to beat the crap out of some one anymore or especially at work. stupid shit like that leads to retaliation down the road and extra bs. i was just pointing out how you react differently when some one is trying to kill (2 different people 2 different times) you. it kinda goes into survival mode and we were so fucking mad that these @ POS's were trying to kill us we kind went overboard. i can't say most people with the capability to do the same thing wouldn't have acted in a similar way in the same situation.

and like i was saying that kind of thing (club shooting) happens alot and never makes it on the news, i elaborated on my really bad experience to show that also didn't make it on the news and to show the magnitude of it.
