Emily Sander, 18, Butler Community College student, died in November 2007, in El Dorado, Kansas. She was a victim of a homicide.

She was born Feb. 26, 1989 in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Russ Sander and Clara Travnichek. She was a student at Butler and attended El Dorado High School for one year.

She loved dancing, music, shopping, and animals.

On one hand, I am not happy with Mexican (and Canadian) policy about extraditing capital punishment candidates. But I am glad that at least they will extradite, and apparently Mexico is helpful to the FBI within their borders.

But I'll take a convicted murderer in jail any day if it means that if I can't execute him, so instead he parties in Mexico.

Of course there is a little bit of corruption down there....
