Been done hundreds of times on hundreds of events.
Yeah, I realize that, but that doesn't change the fact that it's not historically accurate. Might as well have made the whole thing up. If the movie is about what happened at thermopylae, then it should be about what happened at thermopylae, not what some dude thinks would have been cooler.

        Childhood movies:
        Goonies
        War Games

+2 for "The Game" I wish I could forget it, so I could experience it all over again.

"The Pursuit Of Happyness" is a good story.

You're completely missing the point. It's not intended to be 100% historically accurate.

And considering there is no basis of 100% historical accuracy for that event, it's kind of not worth arguing.

You're right i guess. They never claimed to be accurate, it's for entertainment. I guess if I want accuracy, I can watch the History channel.

ITs like your favorite movie, Titanic two Js... Im sure thats not 100% accurate. Thats why its BASED on a true story. Not simply just a true story.

No need to continue the debate, he agreed.

You know what I watched last night? True Stories. A very cool flick David Byrne (Talking Heads) made in 1986. Kinda quirky...I like quirky. One of my favorites.

We rent a lot of movies since we dont get direct tv til the 12th... we rented Mr. Brooks lastnight. It was actually a pretty good movie. A lot better than I had initially expected. We rented Vacancy too, which did however suck balls.

Lay off my Bible before I hit you in the head with it.

                        I'll apologize to God later.

Besides, I bet He liked 300 just as much as I did. Makes more sense to think of it as a screenplay in the same vein as Sin City.

Anyhoo, back on track - I'll add:

All the Sean Connery Bonds & Even that Aussie dude's one.
Any Bruce Lee - especially the 2 "...... the Dragon" movies.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Layer Cake is probably my favorite movie made recently, and I like anything that Michael Mann touches. Just watched Heat for the first time on the 65" new TV with the dolby pumping, and even with the older encoding, the bank heist scene is almost scary...

I've grown to hate new comedies, I thought Knocked Up was stupid as hell. I'm a sucker for good realistic action and gun play, which is all too rare these days. Sorry folks, Jack Bauer is not that good of a shot, no one is

                              Hell yes, son.

Just saw "No Country for Old Men" last night, and I was blown away. It's by far my favorite Coen Brothers film, knocking even Fargo out of first place. That guy that played the hitman was incredible.

And I'll tell you what movie I'm fucking stoked for... Funny Games:

Naomi Watts (HOT), Tim Roth (fucking awesome), and a total Clockwork Orange vibe through the whole trailer. Looks AWESOME.
