New De Niro and Pacino movie called "Righteous Kill". Here is a rough promo trailer. http://www.joblo.com/video/player.ph...=righteouskill

They have only been in two other movies together and both were incredible films. Why would I expect any different from this movie?

I don't think there is an explanation. At least not in the sense that you are looking for. It's just one of those movies that end without an ending, for a lack of better terms. I was a little disappointed at first but accepted that almost every single movie ends with (without spoiling too much) what we are always used too. It was still a great movie. Just left one wanting a particular ending. Odd ending to say the least though, I agree.

It was a living example of when Ed Tom's (Tommy Lee Jones) old friend said to him "You can't change what's coming". When Cigur was driving through the neighborhood just kind of carefree, and was suddenly out of nowhere smashed into a very badly injured, it's proof of that. He had gone along through the whole film getting done what he needed to with relative ease, until the unexpected happened and showed that you don't ever know what's coming. Lewyllen was the same story. He couldn't change what he happened upon, and the chain of events that he set in motion.

As far as what went on with Ed Tom, his character was the personification of the film's title. He started out the film with the dailogue about what it was like to be a lawman when we has young, and when his fathers were lawmen. He mentioned that they didn't carry guns, and back then, didn't need to. It was back in a simpler time, the old country days. But now that he's an old man, the world has changed so much, and it's more than he can keep up with. He realized that, and knew it was time to get out while he still could. Hence, no country for old men.

I don't know if it's been brought up in this thread, but everyone needs to see There Will Be Blood. That's the greatest new movie to come out in a good while. Yes, better than No Country For Old Men.

"I now pronounce You Chuck and Larry" - Awful.

I can usually get a good laugh from Adam Sandler - but this movie was as if some lawyer came up with the idea so that they wouldn't get sued for all the past movies he has made.

                                AWFUL.
