Just watched "I am legend". Boring.

I downloaded a perfect copy of "I am Legend" and had certain expectations from that remake of "Omega Man" with Charlton Heston. Sorry to say the remake's an empty shell. Lotsa shaking going on. But no substance. No crescendo. Nothing. And it ends when we still expect something to happen.

"The invasion" (another remake) was much better in all aspects.

It was indeed a big deception. I like Will Smith. I liked the original movie. In fact, one spends the whole movie expecting the story to start. The hero is setting up mannequins (dummies) to overcome solitude. He even talks to them as if they were humans, but never his psychose is really played out.

So now. If one day they make a remake of "Soylent Green" I hope they put a good team of screen writers on it...

Where did you get it?

There are only two good copies available with BitTorrent. One in French, and another in English. Those are superb Screeners. 10/10 audio and 10/10 video.

Yeah, I downloaded it off of funfile the other day. I liked it, but I think it's supposed to be a little more true to the original BOOK and not so much of a remake of the other films based on the same book. At least that was the intention...

I must agree. I got a good rip in English from...somewhere...and I kept waiting for them to go into further detail with the mannequins, traps, growing intelligence of the baddies, etc. It seems like the movie was supposed to be 3 hours long and then it was edited to a traditional length. Disappointing, to say the least. They could have done so much more with it.

meh, never saw the 'original' or read the book and i thought it was great. It's an awsome movie in its own right and doesn't need to be compared as a remake.

I will SHIT A BRICK. I fucking love that movie. My friends and I were all geeked out over it in high school.

One time, we dared one of our friends to go stand out in the middle of the commons during the middle of lunch and yell at the top of his lungs:

"SOYLENT GREEN IS MADE OUT OF PEOPLE! IT'S PEOPLE!!!"

We all about died laughing. Everyone else thought he was insane.

I agree with that. They showed that same dark walker many times and it seemed as though he set up that trap for Smith's character to walk right into. They definitely could have gotten more in depth showing how they weren't as devolved as he had thought.

They made a remake of "The Planet of the Apes" (another classic with Mr Charlton "NRA" Heston") and they trashed it. They re-made "Omega Man" and they fucked it up (to my own personal opinon). If they ever touch "Solyent Green", it'd better be good.

"Invasion" (remake of "Invasion of the bodysnatchers") while not deserving an oscar, was okay (despite being destroyed by critics).

"Flight of the Phoenix" - The original was a masterpiece. Remake was...
There's a remake of "The Andromeda Syndrome" coming soon too. I heard that there's also supposed to be a version of "The bridge over the River Kwai".
