Matters about me sounding like a douche bag. He was anyway.
The miles are original, Carfax proves it. Emissions done every year in this hell hole.

Another way to document miles is to write down the mileage after every tank of gas. It's a bit of a pain to do, but it helps out come resale time.

That aside, I think his offer was ridiculously low, but that you also shouldn't have pulled the BMW badge bit.

in canada a car with 100,000kms is considered a lot - I always laugh, as that's only 60k.

This isn't a genuine CSL, a tii turbo, or a Grp. A car. This is the kind of shit that gives BMW owners a bad rep.
+1. I can't believe you actually said that to someone. Sometimes, the younger members on this board REALLY show their age.

On the local bmw forums, there's people who shit themselves over a car lasting past 80k miles. Depends on how people value miles and the vehicle. I would not buy a modern american car with more than 80k miles but I also think a bmw is just broken in at 100k.

122k is high miles for just about any buyer, regardless of make/model of car. we, of course, see 122 as low for our cars because we see so many of them go past 250k

The fuckin car yields higher value on Kelly Blue Book for christs sake.

Dude is an idiot for offering $1000. Lucky for us, we live in a country where there is free speech. He can low ball you, and you can tell him to fuck off.

Edit: I would consider 122k miles to be low miles on that year. Given that KBB allows like 15k miles per year. So essentially your car on AVERAGE should have 300k miles by now.

It must be 60,XXX miles in the southeast. Some years ago, before harsh odometer tampering laws, most cars on used car lots had around 60,XXX miles LOL.
