There is a bunch that are DD's here in LA.

I drove a Exige S for the day in Santa Barbara and it wasn't that much worse than my track car E36 M3.

    It is doable I suppose.

Yea, I've noticed a ton here in LA. This is what sparked my interest in the first place. Just not sure how I feel about it.

That and the sheer fact that it has:
        a. A warranty.
        b. Working... everything.
        c. The relief that it (most likely) won't catch on fire/break down.
No kidding. I'd DD one in a heartbeat assuming it has a/c for the AZ summers. A car with low miles and no worries would be oh so nice. The only thing I'd have to get used to is basically sitting on the floor boards. I sat in an Elise at Barrett Jackson 2 or 3 years ago and I thought my car with recaros felt pretty damn low. Hell no, you sit low in an Elise.

My dad had an Elise that he used as a Daily Driver for a year.

It was small, and you could park it anywhere.

The top came off, so it was fun to drive when it was sunny.

It had the heart of a Toyota, so it never broke.

          It was pretty cool.

Now... Hes got an SL600. Faster, and a whole lot prettier.

Nice, why didnt he go with the 55AMG for the same price? Just curious, everyone has a different reason for doing this.

No. I'm starting to get way interested in alternative fuel cars and ultra efficiency because I actually think that technology is pretty cool. And what can I say, I'm a bit of an environmentalist. If I can ever afford to buy a new car to daily, I'd like to embrace the new technology that is coming out. But what matters is that it's quiet, comfortable, and still has able handling.

...and which car would you be referring to?

I don't really know which one. I would just go and test drive all that I could from GM, Honda, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes... Hopefully in the next fiver years there will be more to choose from. As of now, I kinda like the simple looking Civic Hybrid, except I would put some less gay looking wheels on it and lower it, and maybe a CF hood (painted) . I saw that BMW is coming out with a sweet diesel car soon, too, and GM investing a lot into alternative stuff.

                      Four reasons.

                      1) Something sounds cool about Bi-Turbo V12.

                      2) A good set of slicks make it faster than the 55K AMG. (K=Kompressor)

                      3) A ECU Reflash at the dealer makes it almost a second faster over stock in the 1/4...

                      4) It looked damn sexy in black.
