I didn't realize that Kentucky got the award than having smarter cops than Georgia.

How did you out yourself through post grad? Were you blessed with rich parents.
B/c what I am seeing you say is that if you wash cars, go to school, have an opinion that can be backed up by fact, you should not speak out of turn on the internet? Especially to an attorney? Wow.
What firm do you work for? I would hope they hold you to a higher standard than the crap talk you're spewing on this thread.
He gave the guy some advice that has worked for him in the past. How is that bad? He has every right to represent himself in court. I myself have friends who practice complex lit. and would use them, but I think i'm a bit more established than kyle, as are you. So why the downtalk?

And honestly Kyle, I'd trust Dave because Dave just told me what I should do from my standpoint rather than listing 85 statutes and saying "you can fight it because of this, and this and this." All that means jack shit to me.

Take the constructive criticism from an actual potential customer.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Next time, I'll be sure to Put tags around comments like this that say "SARCASM" This internet is serious business and I'd hate to be misconstrued.

I earned a full ride (and then some) scholarship to undergrad, graduated Summa Cum Laude, and am a Phi Beta Kappa and then earned a scholarship to law school. While I did not graduate #1 in my class of 135, I did quite well. So all I did was earn my way to my degrees.

I own my own firm now after 13 years of working for other firms and handling cases of all kinds in state and Federal courts in Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, West Virginia, and YES - GEORGIA!.

And the problem with Kyle's opinion is his "opinion" is half assed and incorrect. Just because he can find (some of) the right tools one might use to argue a speeding ticket, and maybe he could get it right on his own case, luck out and not fuck it up does not make him an authority. His statements show that while he can find the statutes, he is grossly mis-stating how they are to be applied.

By the same token, I can go buy a rotary polisher, read the manual and maybe even look on the internet for the best way to polish and buff my car. Does that mean I am now the end-all/be-all detailing master? Hell no. My advice that might have worked for me may just as well lead someone else to burn a hole in their paint or fuck up the finish who knows how else.

Where does this "talking down" notion come from? Sounds like Kyle is not the only one with an inferiority complex. . . . We all have our own areas of expertise - if you know more about something than I do in that regard, you are not talking down to me, are you? I don;t see it that way.

We look at important driving issues such as speed limits, speed cameras, red light cameras, speed traps and more. We also have a list of traffic attorneys.

I must have misconstrued this second statement. My bad.
I have no doubt that you know what you're doing. Your resume sounds awesome and I am stoked you got a full ride! If you said that above statement to me, no matter what you said after it I would take it like this. This guy has an e34 that must be sick because it has Alcantara and cleaning his or his drunk friend's puke up is how I make my living in his eyes. Why not just say "detail my car"? To me that's just like telling your landscaper (which I did through college to pay my bills) that you use him to pick up your dog's crap because you have kentucky blue and you don't want to ruin it. Again, I must have misconstrued your sarcasm on that one and I apoligize.
Matt, in my experience (and I hope I don't step on anyone's toes here) if I get pulled over for speeding and cited, I pay it. I was guilty and I admit it immediatly to the officer. No excuses, I was speeding and they got me. Sometimes I get cited and pay, sometimes I get out.
WARNING!!!!!!!!! I do not condone speeding in any way shape or form in public areas. I also do not condone arguing with lawyers on the webz due to it's serious bizzzzznissss!
            ;)

I only posted the laws because Dave was claiming I was pulling the info out of my ass.

Pay your ticket. I have in the past. but if the cops don't follow the law, then how are they enforcing it?

I do not distrust Dave, either; I am honestly in love with him and plan to masturbate a little later to his picture.
