Sorry Josh but no. I used to have an adderall prescription and the effects are very apparent.

I have ADD and was diagnosed back in grade school. Back then they put me on ritalin, it definitely helped me focus when doing school work but also made me very anxious and nervous. I switched to adderall in high school and the side effects weren't as bad, but they were still there.
Once I got to college I started to ween myself off of it and tried to manage without it. I don't take any medication for my ADD anymore, but its a daily struggle to keep my focus. I just try to cope with it now rather than relying on pills.

It is a daily battle. I have no problem day to day. I just need it for studying.

Guinness has a similar affect... maybe I will just buy a keg of that instead.

Oh, man, I AM off the juice! Apparently, there are lots of people who misspell it considering the amount of google hits when typing in 'adarol'. Thanks for the bitch slap Charlie :)

Nah....Adderall, or the generic equivalent amphetamine salts, is about as subtle as a fart in a space helmet. Even on the relatively low dose I am on, it is very definite feeling of calm razor sharpness. Interestingly, if you really have ADD, it doesn't so much buzz you as it does calm you. If you aren't really wired funny like truly ADD people are, you will get a very definite 8 cups-of-coffee-like buzz. You know the effect isn't imagined when you don't feel all that different if you don't take it, but people around you can tell you didn't take it!

Timed release was horrible for me. Hated it. I use a very small dose of the generic immediate release stuff twice a day. Works like a charm....

Hmm, interesting. I do have concentration and anxiety issues, I'm guessing what could be called ADD. I was in a batch of some of the first test groups in the early 80's to be put on Ritalin. I was on it for all of about 2 days, until I couldn't take the constant nausea and vomitting anymore. Not to mention, my mom tells me that while I was on it, I was like the kids in that episode of South Park while they were on Ritalin.

I know Adderall is leaps and bounds ahead of what Ritalin 20 years ago was, but I've very much against mood and personality altering drugs. I think it's great that things like this help people with legitimate issues, like I'm sure I probably do have, but something about drugs that alter who you are just seems frightening to me. It's more complex than what I can explain here, but I'm sure you get the idea of what I mean.

We as humans inherently have to solve issues. We need meds because we can't keep our legs still, dick does not rise to the occasion, eyelashes arn't long/full enough. We only want to solve the issue, but give up and say that's just what happens when, due to side affects of problem one have, end up going blind, having glaucoma, mitral valve prolapse. We just need to come to the conclusion that none of us are going to operate properly 100% of the time.

Imagine a car that didn't squeek over speedbumps, have a low idle in the AM, hard starts. Nothing of man will ever be perfect and safe from problems. We just need to accept that.
