I can't stand Argentina. Whatever is just short of hate is where I stand. I hate them in soccer and have a broken finger to remind me of running into them. I always want them to lose every game. I sometimes watch their games hoping to watch an upset. I like you though ;)

As for Argentina... well... I hope Maradona gets Argentina to the world cup. They are like our mortal enemies.... going to the world cup without Argentina is like World War II without nazis.

So Argentina and Portugal managed to qualify for the World Cup. Although I'm not to crazy about Argentina qualifying, I congratulate both countries. They both have two of the best players and deserve to be there. Would have been strange for Messi and Ronaldo not to have gone...

I'm fine with them not going. That 3 to 1 win in Argentina was as sweet as a win against them in the world cup. I'm pretty sure most of them would feel the same way.

one player can make a difference in a game or few but not in a team. Those that feed Messi or any forward for that matter also largely attribute to the end result.

Maradona is being allowed to stay coach as long as he makes amends and calls Riquelme back up...

Ecuador wins against Boliva 3 - 1 further putting pressure on Argentina's chance to qualify for next year's world cup. Argentina is currently losing 1 - 0 against Paraguay @ 25 mins in the second with Veron sent off. They are currently in 5th place. Brasil went through something similar at the last world cup, barely qualifying. The only team to make it to every world cup, it would have been a great dissapointment. Good luck Mariano!
