Not gonna argue with you there, but the reality is that all of these games don't count for anything. The fact that they've all been ties just proves that the US can't score, which also means that their defense is solid, which in my mind is more important against the top tier teams.

I am looking forward to the match against Spain as it will certainly be a test against a true top tier team (I too feel that Argentina, although having several exceptional players is not a great team).

Looks like you haven't been watching US games then. It comes down to the coaching.

yes, it doesn't matter where the goalie is. It was a good decision but poor direction. It was an amazing strike though as well..

Maybe some explanation? I haven't seen all of the recent US games, but most of them. The coaches make no passes, take no shots, I've always wondered why everyone puts so much emphasis on the coaches.

they pick and choose those who make the passes, take the shots (who gets called to the national team), from what position they make those passes and take those shots (what position/area on the field they'll play), the overall team formation on the field, whether the team will be offensive or defensive in nature, their attitudes affect the players, etc etc...

I get that they choose the players that end up on the field, but being a soccer player myself for my entire life, I can honestly tell you I never considered what my coach was thinking before I made a pass or scored a goal.

I just think that people read into the influence a coach has on the team way too much because they want to believe that the coach is either a god if the team succeeds or a demon if they fail.

An example to illustrate this, would you consider Spain's head coach the reason why they won the world cup? If so, then you should be able hypothetically transplant that coach to any of the other world cup teams and have an instant winner. Still think its all the coach...

You're reading way too much into this. Coaching had much to do with how we played against Argentina. Noticed how we were ultra defensive in the first half and aggressive in the second? It's not like the players just decided to want to score all of a sudden in the second half, it's just what Bradley used as a strategy.
