that was a fkng intense half!! The haziness from the fogos, the speed and aggressiveness of play, and the constant noise makes for that badass CLASSIC clash between South American countries! That shit is CLASSIC!!!! Unlike soccer anywhere else and to ME is the definition of what a soccer match is! I FKNG LOVE THIS GAME SO FKNG MUCH!!!! And Brasil isn't even playing! South America = home of the best soccer and fans on the globe!!!

hmm, I think rather than saying Colombia is bringing it, I'd say Argentina left it at home. Much the same as Mexico left it at home against Chile. This is why I'm not really taking this whole tournament too serious. BUT I love football too much not to watch it, haha.

You must have been watching something else...Colombia played to win and were up to the challenge. They were pretty aggressive and had some pretty nice scoring chances...they stepped up. I guess Argentina is "not going to leave it at home" for the next game :???:

And what's your second statement about Mexico leaving it at home vs Chile? For real? Don't be such an apologist...the better team won.

And +1 to Maluco for this gem "South America=home of the best soccer..."

oh I know a smaller team will always go in giving it all they have. colombia came out swinging and never stopped, they were running circles around argentina but come on, in the real world it'd be a pretty rare thing to see colombia "hang" with argentina.

And what I meant by the mexico vs chile thing is pretty much the same. I KNOW Chile was the better team, mexico's midfield was non-existent never getting past their own defense but again, in the real world, with Mexico's full squad it'd be pretty rare to see Chile beat them. and THAT'S why I'm not taking this whole tourney too serious.

This tournament is more of an outlier than anything else, the game's biggest south american players never fared well in this as well. So you must take this into consideration when the "winner" raises the cup.

This is the same reason why I don't make a big deal of the gold cup. Although Mexico had their better team involved in that tournament they never played Argentina, Brazil, or even (dare I say it) Uruguay which I think made a great showing in the world cup so should you take that seriously too?

and in addition, I think Mexico's sub-17 national team could have put up a better fight against Chile than the third string crap club they brought that night.

looks tough for them though, Uruguay can always be very challenging. People always seem to forget about this country when they name argentina and brazil.

LMAO. Argentina tries and tries to command so much attention. Well, attention comes in a couple of different ways and right now, there is all kinds of bad attention on them.

And A LOT on Messi. (again and still)

Argentinos hate that guy (a lot to do with his early departure to Spain - he moved there when he was fkng 13 years of age to commence his Barcelona-sponsored growth hormone deficiency treament, being that Argentina wouldn't pay for it, and his whole sellout procedure, etc) for the most part and because he has hardly and continues to hardly perform whilst playing on the national team.

                              I am thoroughly

Their last game saw cries of "Pulga de mierda" and "Messi no es Argentino" and the hate continued into the locker room where a fight broke out.

they have not made a finals in the World Cup since 1990 and have not won a Copa America since 1993.

It's too bad you can't turn off all the attention you want when you don't want it.

meh, I always say good for him, he turned lemons into lemonade. I he wants to not play well for the country that wouldn't pay for his care then that's his choice. It also has to do a lot with the team as a whole people seem to forget that a lot when they have a star player on board.
