DAMN!!! That was one of the craziest games I have seen! Truly emotional game! Respect and congrats to the US Women's team - playing one player down for that long (55 mins!) and never really looking like they were down. And fighting like crazy! And all the controversial calls/plays! Crazy! They completely earned that win!

no excuses or apologies needed, Paraguay's two gols were absolutely and most obviously handed to them by our defense. What's worse than your denying that is your considering them 'golazos', lol. And hell yeah, thanks and most definitely good job on us pulling off the tie; imagine if we had lost!? lol

bad enough we tied Venezuela 0 - 0.

Regardless, it's still no huge shocker to me, Brasil is the team to beat and all teams play us as if playing the final of a World Cup. That and they played like shit today - with us handing two gols over and our attackers not knowing how to score. Even with all that we were able to come back and tie it.

    Props to Fred and Jadson.

props to the Japanese women for knocking out Germany in the Quarter-finals IN Germany... A tough feat for sure.

Don't be such an apologist bro...you fools were getting outplayed, out worked. And last time I checked the defense is part of the team and your defense gave up those goals, like chumps. I'll give Fred his props, THAT'S how you finish in the clutch...he could teach LeDouche a thing or two.

Both Brasil and Argentina have ZERO excuses...you guys have your A players out there and this is YOUR cup to win. Good job tying Paraguay lol

Maybe Brasil is sand bagging it b/c they know they're spot is set in 2014? Oh wait i'm just making excuses for them...that's your job Maluco...j/k :)

although, the WNBA may 'heat' up based on the below...

I don't get how you can say their full of themselves and I don't get how you have a problem that ESPN (an U.S. company in the U.S.) would promote the american women's soccer team when they are going into the quarter finals. The same kind of nationalistic pride would be the same in any south american country that you might so root for.

shit haomie! Brasil won't know what hit them!

I'm not going to hate too much on the Pulga...he's not playing w/ the likes of Iniesta nor Xavi and although Tevez is pretty krunk, he's not David Villa. It seems like that front 4 is not playing well together...Cambiasso is not very good and Pastore should have replaced him during the last game. Also Lavessi, at the moment, isn't finishing and he should be replaced by El Kun or Higuain.

oh, yes I would move in the blink of an eye. Especially if my home country isn't taking care of me. I guess he could do more, but it's not like the entire team is up to par with him, maybe tevez and one or two more but him and the midfield never seem to connect.

    I am thoroughly

they have not made a finals in the World Cup since 1990 and have not won a Copa America since 1993.

It's too bad you can't turn off all the attention you want when you don't want it.
meh, I always say good for him, he turned lemons into lemonade. I he wants to not play well for the country that wouldn't pay for his care then that's his choice. It also has to do a lot with the team as a whole people seem to forget that a lot when they have a star player on board.

And what's your second statement about Mexico leaving it at home vs Chile? For real? Don't be such an apologist...the better team won.

And +1 to Maluco for this gem "South America=home of the best soccer..."
and in addition, I think Mexico's sub-17 national team could have put up a better fight against Chile than the third string crap club they brought that night.

looks tough for them though, Uruguay can always be very challenging. People always seem to forget about this country when they name argentina and brazil.
