One more pic. Its an outdated pic, but he's still one of the best players out there and has the potential to be the best very easily. What does the date of the picture have to do with it? Todays uefa game with my LFC and arsenal (1-1 aggregate) was nuts, 4-2 win, arsenal go up at 13' then at 28' hyypia gets a header in from the corner, second half early (cant recall the time) boy wonder EL NINO Fernando Torres has a beautiful strike on goal, at around 60' or so i think adebayor got a goal to get arsenal into the overall lead (away goals count more), the most exciting end i have ever seen 70' penalty Stevie G captain fantastic kicks that fucker in, 92' just to put it away Ryan Babel gets a good look at goal and takes his shot for the final goal just one minute before the whistle.

I had to chime in on the Henry thing as a MLS Seattle supporter...

I would be VERY happy to see him in Seattle, but to be very honest, I am just happy to see some form of professional soccer in Seattle (I'm surprised it has taken this long...). The players and wins will come in time. I'm just still too excited about the team in general to be worried about who the big-name-guy is.

Don't get me wrong, the Sounders (USL) have been great, but MLS is yet something more.

And throw this out there.... On the MLSNET.COM forums in the Seattle Sounders FC area there are lots of rumors flying around and the latest is that the MLS and Seattle may be trying to get Riquelme out of Argentina. What do you think about that Mariano?

IMHO, we all love soccer but that's exactly what these MLS clubs need to do... get (buy) these big name guys.

I guess its a treat for the public to go see Becks, but if you aren't an already entrenched fan Henry, or Drogba, or Ronaldo aren't reallyu going to make that much of a difference IMO. Die hard fans are die hard fans. It's like saying an F1 driver going to nascar is going to up ratings... maybe for a couple of races, biut it isn't going to fix the fact that the US isn't into soccer until the olympics.
Besides, the NASL proved that in the 70s and 80s.
Sorry just the way it is.

At least they'll sell tickets... FC Dallas has a couple of Brasilian players which has made me go watch a few games but all in all you are right...
