yeah, Fedor just rushed it way too much and way to early, trying to ground and pound Werdum got him caught in a triangle and arm bar. I too really want to see Fedor x Overeem but I don't know if it will happen at this point. Fedor only has one fight left with SF and has already touched on retirement. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed by a card. Mousassi has zero take-down defense, apparently. Aoki 0/18 on takedowns... he looked tiny compared to Gil, but much of that can be attributes to Japanese fighters rarely cutting weight. Hendo was GASSED after the first round. Shields had him mounted for the better part of three rounds and couldn't finish the fight... the guy has pillows for fists.
I'm curious to see if Shields goes to the UFC... I can't imagine him passing it up. Let's see Joe Silva set up a GSP/Shields fight. I would predict about nine PPV buys for that snoozefest.Leave a comment:

Is butt-scooting illegal in strikeforce? I could've sworn Aoki was saying the jdm version of WTF? I know that nobody in MURRKA likes submissions but sorry, that's his game. Mario Yamasaki was ruining the fight by jumping into the action, simply to make them stand up. So much for MMA.
I wish Shields would have gotten knocked out, because then I wouldn't had to have watched such a boring fight. Seemed like Hendo didn't have the cardio (too much cut?) and couldn't bring it.
And then the best part of the night. Mayhem was NOT out of line (FUCK YOU MAURO RANALLO!) how many times have you seen a competitor come in to hype a rematch? About 50. But this time he gets mobbed by Cesar Gracie's whole crew.
Let's see, Melendez: 155 champ, Diaz: 170 champ, Shields: 185 champ
So much for being professional.
