+1. Thats funny you say that. My cousin and I have started doing the thumbs down more often than the bird lately. i think there is something more shameful about getting the thumbs down. Every dumbass driver is too used to the finger.

It's scary. I'd say 60% of the crashes between Nov. to March are Caddy's w/ wheelchair racks and curb feelers.

So wait, he got pissed at you for passing him in the right lane when he should have been yielding to the right in the first place?

            WTF!

I hope this story doesn't end with a new thread called "Some a**hole slashed my tires" !!!!!

Keep that car locked up at night in the garage for a few days!

The only place my car ever stays. A few months ago, I had to take both cars out of the garage overnight to have the overhead door replaced, so I took it over to my mom's and put it in her garage. :D

dont diss the escort. I had a beaut of an 88 that rusted to the frame rails. Hemispherical 4 banger with one single injector got me cross country with every last bit of shit I owned. Crossed the continental divide in snow, with 1000 pounds of shit in it, and bad synchros in second. She made it with better mileage than any car in fleet now. 90hp. Gotta love it.

All that aside, I'd never go 30 in a 45

It's Oregon, what do you expect? Drive 1 day in Portland and you will wan't to ram every one off the road. Seriously as if 55 wasn't slow enough, every one just has to ride the left lane going 53.....

there was a thread here that helped me out at the home depot parking lot last night, i'm so proud of myself....

suv parks in handicapped really badly right before me, i park and shes getting out as im walking by. i see the tag hanging from rear view so i said, "you must have the handicapped parking tag because you suck at parking." she just laughed.
                          at least i said something witty/confrentational :)

Lightweight. I live in Hemet. :p We not only get the snowbirds, but all of the blind seniles that decided to stay here permanently. You're running a gauntlet everytime you go through a parking lot here. The oldsters are no longer capable of turning their heads, and since not using rear-view mirrors was good enough for pappy, it's good enough for them. Backing out of a parking space for them involves just putting their barge in reverse and going. No looking, no waiting, just going. A co-worker had their car plowed into that way, and the dusty old raisin that hit her got mad at her for being there! I had a coffin-dodger at a stop sign on a cross-street to mine (I had no stop sign) look right, look left - right at me - look right again, and then pull out right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and slid to a stop (this was my old non-abs Camaro) about 10 feet from them. They of course heard the locked up tires and responded by hitting their brakes and coming to a stop right in my path! :x The geezer stared at me with a confused look for a couple of seconds, then went on his way as if nothing had happened. I'm betting he had NO idea what happened there.

The worst though was when one of them hit my 01 330i days after I bought it. I was at a stop light waiting with this prune in a Cadillac behind me. All of a sudden he rolls forward and taps me! I gesture for him to pull over into the parking lot just to the right. I pull in and this dick keeps going, so I have to pull back out real quick into traffic to chase his ass down. For the next 3/4 of a mile I'm behind him honking, flashing my lights, and waving for him to pull the hell over. He finally pulls into a side street and pulls over. First thing the idiot says is "I was going to pull over!" WHEN!?! As I'm carefully checking my bumper (zero damage thank god) he's telling me that he tapped me because he'd just had knee surgery and couldn't hold the brake anymore. I was so relieved that there was no damage that I just left. I still regret that. Not only was the guy obviously incapable of being able to stop if there was a real emergency like a kid running out in the street, but the a-hole knew it and was still driving!

I'm a spiteful driver. If people cut me off or wrong me otherwise I will relentlessly mexican roadblock the fuck out of them.

Man, talk about an over exaggeration of the older denizens or our fair city. You must just be bitter.

Ok, no, that's pretty much dead on. I have nearly been pwned 3 times in the last couple of months, once in our minivan with my wife and daughter on board. I go to Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs area) once a week or so for work and I would rate Hemet's drivers as far worse. Although the Canadians who raid PS in the wintertime take a close second.
