So last Sunday I was coming home from a bowling trip with blacke30(jeff) and his girlfriend and her family. It was around 23:15 when I was getting out of my car to walk up to my apartment door, jeff had gone back to his girls house to hang out for a bit. Im walking up to the front door, which i had to go into the front of the building, and my door was just under the stairwell going to the second floor. As Im putting my keys into the door i hear what sounded like running behind me, i turn around and see 4 assholes, one with a gun and another with a small can of pepper spray. Im thinking fuck are you serious?? is this really happening? The guy with the gun decides to shove it in my chest and tell me to give him everything in my pockets. At that point im so pissed that i just stood there and was thinking that if he was ballsy enough to shove a gun in my chest, he could grab my stuff himself. He procedes to go through my pockets and steals my wallet, military ID and everything. God im so angry still, and i know the cops wont find these assholes. I just really fucking hate people these days for real, i mean seriously what i do for a living allows these fucks to do this to people at their free will....FUCK.

Yes...that would have been the first thing i thought of whilst having a gun jammed into my chest....the military id was the worst part, but its resolved now. I just think its BS that they had to use a gun, seriously im a small guy, if you grab my shirt with 4 of your hoodrat friends and tell me to give you my stuff, im not going to say no.

This is exactly why you should carry cash on you. While a lot of people robbers will just run off scared and upset because they got nothing out of it, others will shoot your ass on the spot because you weren't worth the risk they took of robbing your ass in the first place.

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but I'd check any and all security cameras in that area. They may have been on foot when they approached you, but who knows, they may have jumped in a car and ran off after they got your wallet.

I'm waiting for someone to make a credit card sized GPS thing that you can slip in your wallet to track it's location. If it's cleverly disguised as a credit card, it could deter walletsnatchers.

Awww dont be too hard on the friggin cops. Tell them they need to be looking for 4 African-American males, 18-22 years old, wearing baggy jeans and t-shirts. As soon as the cops finish subsidizing the city budget by writing speeding tickets, they'll get right on it..

If V.B. cops are anything like ours, they're not going to do a thing. No one was harmed so your incident will get filed away and more pressing, high profile issues will take it's place.

low jack for wallets would be such a good idea. i know they have stuff like that butthe battery only last for like 24 hours then its dead. but still that really sucks i have somthing similar like that happen to me but i got hit with a basball bat. good to hear you didnt get injured

Yea we are supposed to think clearly, as in not do something gay like swat at the gun and shoot myself. These people were a bunch of kids, no older than 19 and without a doubt they were looking for drug money. Again like I said im not worried about it and im pleased with the reaction of the cops with the 2 k9 units they sent out and all the patrol units. Unfortunately i picked a nice apartment complex with a crap hole across the street which I know for a fact they came from. Plus im naval intelligence ...hence poosay... lol not much i could have done. Im just glad they didnt grab my phone or go into my apartment and beat my ass because my keys were in the door.

I highly, highly doubt very many people would have the reflexes to: a. reach for their weapon, b. stop the guy with the gun from shooting you, and c. stop the guy with the pepper spray from spraying you. That's assuming the other two were defenseless and wouldn't do anything. A handgun may have helped if he saw these guys from a few yards away, but the outcome would have probably been worse.

I have everything that i need to have a CWP and carry however, im not old enough to own a hand gun...only 20. and even if i had one on me it would have not provided me anything but a better reason for them to shoot me or another weapon they could use on me or someone else. Like i said i was underneath a stairwell, and i didnt even see them untill they were maybe 5 feet from me. i can handle pepper spray however im a little more susceptible to a gunshot wound. yay for OC spray

I'm sorry for what happened to you, sir. I can relate to your situation as I have been in many situations like this living in Los Angeles. I used to live in South Central LA because rent was cheap, but I had to deal with the environment and that's exactly what I did. I affiliated myself with the local OG street runners aka gangbangers who ran my area, so I can understand how my street is ran and for protection purposes 'cuz the cops ain't doing shit in such area. I understood who belonged to the area and who were foreign. I went to the local Fry's Electronics and installed wireless USB cameras all over my area and a couple of them cameras had night vision, so I can see the street pharmacists at night and all the BS going on the streets before they reach my door. I always carried a Balisong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balisong_%28knife%29) and have used it a couple of times for protection. I lost my Balisongs, so now I just carry my Escrima sticks. Like you, I'm short and skinny, but fast and risky. I think that the biggest risk in life is not taking one. I don't live in SCLA anymore, but I have made good acquaintances who got my back whenever I need assistance. I hope you find the perpetrators and do justice on their asses for they deserve it because their moms and pops never put time or enough time beating/spanking their asses while they were growing up.
