Thats exactly why I now have a carry permit and if he had demanded everything out of my pockets he would have been on the wrong end of 9 .357 sig hollowpoints screaming out of the barrel of my gun as it came out of my back pocket....

Sorry to hear your misfortune but at least you OK and are alive.

See if this was where I live, the waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles would have had a pellet gun..

My brother and I got robbed at knife point like 20 minutes from my house. Turns out it was a guy in my highschool english class, he didn't recognize me, but i recognized him.. He got what was coming to him..

#1: You carry a pistol in your back pocket...? That's retarded.
#2: If you did what you just described, you'd likely be lying on the floor dead before your finger touched the trigger.

OP: You did the right thing. You've got to pick your battles, and this one was not to be won. He was a bitch hiding behind a gun and his friends, so he had a huge upper hand on you. Even if you are carrying, if he gets a gun on your chest before you know what happened, your gun won't help.

If you had any idea what you were talking about you might be on to something, but you don't.

They make pocket holsters for this very setup, I have a Kahr in 9mm that would work very well in one of those.

#2 part, the bad guy says hand me your wallet and you reach for your back pocket, I think you have the drop on him right there, the damn thing looks like a wallet, as you are handing over, two to the face would likely ( since you can see how it would go down, so can I ) be FTMFW.

Not everybody is a fucking sheep.

dude. you did the right thing. A few bucks isnt worth some black dude bragging to his friends about how he killed you. Get a gun. you see him around again threaten to bust a cap in his ass unless he gives you his bathing ape and grills

                          1. Yes I do carry a .357sig caliber sub-compact Glock pistol in my back pocket... And a .22 magnum in my front pocket as well. I can also carry the .357sig inside my waist band of my pants with a shirt pulled over it a bit and you would never know it. And if you had any idea on what you were talking about you would realize there are products made for this type of setup.

                          2. If I did what I described I might be lying on the floor dead, as you mentioned. But the last thing a thief is expecting one to pull out is a gun when all he has on his mind is your wallet. And trust me by the time he realized what it was I would have got off at least two rounds immediately.

The last thing that is going to happen to me is die without putting up a big fight for my life period. After almost being carjacked years ago I realized that I am not going to be killed for some crack/meth addicts BS without at least putting up a fight. That is why I now have a concealed or open carry gun permit and do not leave home without it. EVER !!

Its ok, not everyone can be the Sheppard... ;)

Just be thankful for citizens like myself who will stand up to these types of crimes and do something about it so the next thief will think three times about doing it to someone else.

there's 4 of them. One has a gun and is holding it to you, business end first. There's another guy with pepper spray, and 2 other dudes not *showing* anything. so, you

                                1. do what he says, and you leave with your life (minus some aggravation, money, and Mil ID) and he gets away.

                                2. You pull a gun. You surprise the gunman, and you kill him, his buddy with pepper spray gets you and before you can recover from it he grabs his buddy's gun and empties it into your head for the aggravation of killing his friend

                                3. You kill the first guy, get a few shots off at the second, but most likely miss and then one of the other 2 guys pulls on you and kills you

                                4. You kill the first guy, in your haste, through the adrenaline, haze, excitement, and firing without properly aiming a gun built to not be aimed (you're telling me you can accurately aim a gun that's so small it doesn't look like a gun??) you manage to off the pepper spray guy without him spraying you first, then still have enough bullets left over to kill the other 2 guys, who are miraculously unarmed and still standing there.

tell me which is the smartest? which is the most likely to occur? He's in the military, and they kinda teach this stuff, but he said he's an intel analyst. They might be the most important rate in the Navy, but they aren't trained for close-quarters combat. Hell, when I went through the limited training they give us, they told us not to do something brash and stupid, particularly pull a gun. And these were ex- Marine Corps Force Recon guys.
