The guy makes several excellent points:

The entire train system needs a HUGE overhaul. Ancient unsafe design, poorly managed...yet capable of incredible efficiency.

If trains are allowed 120KPH and cars only 55KPH, trains would be far more desirable.

At some point in the fairly near future, we are going to run out of fuel.

    So yeah, interesting post.

        Tom

It'll wrap past 85, but it's not much fun. The front end gets pretty light at those speeds. Not something I'm too keen on testing in a 3 ton vehicle on 205 tires.

Charlie Josh, Charlie, You have a fucking brick an trying to shove it though the air at 70+ of course you are gonna get crappy mileage. Its also not a newer car.

Josh your car dose not apply to the newer car as well.

By my previous statement I meant not faster is not always better, its only better to a point. Newer I meant 2001+ 2 I have an 04 GMC diesel and at when I push up form 65 to 70 my mileage goes all too hell.

I am sorry that pisses you off but you have no right to tell or regulate what others can and cant drive. If they can afford it or even if they cant for that matter in no one business but there own. How would you like it if someone told you that the e30 was too old and you have to go buy car "x" to replace it.

I drive an Integra on a daily basis actually. And I'm not sure what you mean by that because I said my car gets better mileage at 55 than it does at 70...but that it's retarded to make cars go 34mph.

I pay for my gas, I'll use it how ever the fuck I want to. Same goes for my water and electricity bills.Considering both are renewable already anyways.

All I am getting at is that newer transmission gearing is geared to get better mileage at highway speed than they used too. Top gear is no longer 1:1 over drive ratios are getting up there in the range of 1.65:1
