But looks like a cool project. I might add that I have the verizon navigator on my phone and it is pretty damn cool, and honestly is just as damn good as my TOM TOM 910 in most aspects...

Nope - The TSA has a new rule - no "IED's" can be carried on. They call IED's Improvised ELECTRONIC devices - basically if it looks home made, they shit a brick and close the airport down if they think it's real.

100 in parts blah blah blah, 70 dollars for phone blah dumb blah im dumb, 7 bucks a month ( iwould pay it now that i fully understand link), countless hours swearing and soldering , well worth the time. buying a tom tom, PRICELESS.(unless you want to track something)

This unit serves a completely different purpose, parhaps as a way of tracking your stolen vehicle or keep tabs on the wife/children?

Hide it in the car, text msg it, and it will return the vehicles location.

Yea - It doesn't really make it clear in the pictures. But it's a small computer that talks to the GPS unit, and the phone.

Now, not only you can track your car, you could control anything electrical on your car - form anywhere in the world - if you wanted to.

For example - you could send your car a text message to start it's self to warm up.
