    Today was not so fun.

I find that my stomach picks and chooses the days it wants food. Right now Saltines are about the only thing that hits the spot.

I know I need to but I couldn't even fathom putting down a nutrition shake. The only 2 things that sound good to me right now are soup and crackers.

x2. How long is your first round of chemo?

I'm not sure how many Christians frequent the board but I've always considered myself to be one. Maybe not the best but I believe. I know God won't give me anything I cannot handle and what doesn't kill me will only make me stronger.
I know this is an old post but I actually just used this quote YESTERDAY. I'm 27 and I've been through more health problems in the last 6 years than most people go through in a lifetime. This is going to be so life-changing for you, in a good way, that you're going to be a completely different person. Trust me. I'm Christian as well and God has a HUGE plan for you. You really realize, when your life is in the balance, how little everything else is and how all there really is is God to lean on.

On a different note, I tried just about everything in the book as an alternative medicine to Western Medicine. My biggest finds were diet and most recently, Reflexology. I just went last night to a local Reflexologist who has people coming from all over the U.S. to see him. It's the first thing that I actually felt instant results. I really couldn't believe it. Do some research and look at it as a possibility.

Also, if you haven't already, change your diet. There's a book I read called, 'What Would Jesus Eat?' It's pretty much the perfect Mediterranean diet. I also got into fasting, mainly fresh, raw juice fasting. These things really changed my life. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I'd be absolutely more than happy to help. God bless you, man. Christ is giving you a challenge and he knows you're up for it.

Thanks, I just finished a book called "The Cancer Recovery Plan" that basically breaks down how important the Mediterranean diet is along with exercise during treatment.

A lot of interesting connections between the diet they suggest and the whole acid vs. alkaline blood pH.

                    Round 2

Eating makes a tremendous difference before chemo. No more fasting for me. Blah!

The only bad thing is that my WBC count was so low already that I had to get a Nuelasta shot at the hospital today to boost my cell count. Looks like that may be the case the remainder of my treatments.

I'm feeling a bit rough today but I was able to get some chicken soup down and a nice salmon and rice dinner.

In the meantime I got some kickass Guitar Hero jammy pants for my b-day to wear to chemo and I made a new friend. Her name is Ramona and she likes Saltines & Marshmellows Because I can risk infection I simply toss food to her out the back door onto the deck.

best of luck to you. my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 years ago. he has had three operations and is okay today. you're much younger and cancer treatment has come a long way- i have no doubt that you will beat it.

Awesome friend, you seem to be in much better spirit.

Keep it up feeding, and you may A. have a petting zoo, or B. be treated for Ramona's rabies. It would be funny though. You'll probably get very reach when you discover that rabies cure cancer. Good luck to you.

Only the best of luck to you! My father-in-law just beat it - lung (non-small cell) and brain - three tumors. One removed with gamma laser, and others were manually removed.

You will beat this as well!

Ok, you post up a pic of a Coon and Guitar Hero PJs, and people are still so damn depressing.

Instead being glad that you're getting your sense of humor back, and laugh about life, people nag on the problem.

                              Time for cancer jokes.

On board a flight to Hawaii, the pilot announced, "That thump you heard was our last engine conking out. I'm really sorry to tell you this, but we are going to crash into the ocean."

In the stunned silence that followed, an angry voice spoke out. "Dammit! That stupid doctor of mine! He said I was going to die of cancer."

                              "He lied!"
