Thank for the advice Scot. My biggest issue is that I transitioned from one subcontracting company to another so my health insurance changed from Aetna to Cariten. I've been warned that Aetna can be very bitchy about large claims.

For those of you who wish to see me well when I survive chemo should come to the Southeast Fall Rally. The summer rally was a graduation celebration for me so this one can be my last chemo celebration.

I am stoked that you are showing so much strength and optimism! You are truly a great example of overcoming impossibilities and improbables. With an attitude like yours only great things can happen. It is no coincidence that a good, optomistic attitude plays a vital role in healing and overcoming.

Stop. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Call your insurance company today and get ahold of a case manager. If you're on an HMO (like me) you're venturing into uncharted waters few regular people ever paddle and you'll need/appreciate the help. Explain what you've been diagnosed with and ask for help in clearing the obstacles from your path to getting what you need. They may not cover the sperm banking because it is elective, but any biopsies or tests for diganosis, prognosis, and treatment planning should be green flagged without hesitation. The case managers really help contrary to what the first tier customer service people might leave you thinking. ;)

My heroine is named Denise. I believe she may actually have a sword for cutting through red tape. She has been absolutely awesome through all this mess. I need to find out whom her boss is so I can write Denise a huge thank you for the help and support she has been.

I'm praying all day today for another friend getting his ileostomy undone today and me finding out how my last CT scan looked that will tell me what my next step is. I will add you finding an insurance champion to my list. :)

Ugh. I hated those neulasta hits. My tech gave me mine in the back of my right arm and they friggin' hurt. Then the sudden bone pain would strike whenever it felt like. The only upside is the stuff works so you won't have to get them all the time. And the bone pain didn't last either.

Don't sweat the hair loss; literally. I got mine buzzed down when the strays were getting annoying in the shower and on my pillow. I didn't think I'd like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. My head stay nice and cool and there's no more hat or helmet head!

I found out that insurance is not going to pay for banking my sperm even after my Oncologist made the referral for it.

On top of that now they are trying to stall on paying for my biopsy surgery.

Finally feeling back to normal again today. Unfortunately even more of my hair is coming out, still making a mess so I may have to break down and go chrome.

If only hair on other parts of my body would fall out so easily.

Right now the only thing from keeping me from feeling 100% is the random bone pains from the Nuelasta shot that feel like someone is Charlie Horsing me in the arm or upper legs.
