Music has a way of soothing the soul. I don't know your taste but for me its hip hop and rock and roll.

I'm not much of an active member but the sense of community and closeness on this board is really touching.

I'd just wanted to say I hope you make it through. My mom had breast cancer in the mid-90's and made it through and that was with old technology! You should make it through.

I will know on Tuesday @ 3:15. Richard Grapski is my Oncologist and from what I read he's one of the best in dealing with my kind of cancer.

I did find out that I do not have to get a port (YAY!).

I have one more test left called a MUGA. Something to do with testing my lungs and cardio function to make sure I will not have adverse reactions to the chemotherapy.

A muga is a nuclear medicine procedure - pretty similar to the PET CT you had - except it's not a whole body scan. If you want I can have one of the radiologists here have a peek at your pet ct images. They are some of the best in houston.

Thanks Steve, I had a friend with cancer that hid it for the longest time from most his friends and his family.

Whenever I found out I decided I wasn't going to be like that. To stay positive I know I have to take ownership of this thing. Being upfront and sharing this with friends and family has made things much easier on me.

Maybe someday someone with the same issue might Google Hodgkins and find this thread. I hope that sharing this information might give that person hope because if you have a good support system then you don't have to go through this stuff alone. It's scary enough just making yourself pursue the necessary tests just to make sure you don't have cancer.

WOW Robert, just wow!!! Love ya Brother.

All you guys are in my prayers, as they are always answered.

As mean, ugly and nasty as it is, it's amazing how cancer has touched the e30 community in such a big way. Ya sometimes things get a little mushy, and sometimes thing get a little........Lukey, but no matter how it comes out it's all good.
I'm very proud of the e30 community.
