I find it interesting you landed on an AA bashing book. No one referred to how they got sober.

The bottom line is some of us found life is better without mind altering substances, no one has made any mention that it is for anyone else nor did I see any post trying to recruit you nor anyone else.

Why are you so threatened by the idea that sobriety is a good thing and much more importantly why are you trying to get people that are happy sober to drink?

    Not enjoy rhetoric? You're crazy.
What do you know of AA principals? How many meetings have you been to? How much literature have you read? Site your references & show your research.

I submit you know little of what AA has done for those in need of their help and are just a scared little boy afraid that he may have a problem.

Youll learn that your first sentence is not only extremely offensive to those of us who had the balls and inner strength to recognize and effectively treat the problem, but its also extremely ignorant and absolutely untrue.

HEY! Here's a book you can read! See, more people than just you can mention names of books!

    From the Author
    Empowering yourself

After forcing myself, for over ten years, to adopt a program that didn't feel right to me, I eventually discovered that I was not powerless over alcohol or any of my three other addictions, regardless of what A.A. wanted me to believe. I was, and am in fact, powerful and I learned how to overcome my addictions, in part, by focusing on what was right about myself, as opposed to the twelve step approach that spotlights character defects, wrongs, and shortcomings. While the twelve step route is a valid path for those that it works for, I found an equally valid path. It includes letting go of the endless self-judgments and instead affirming our intrinsic goodness and wholeness. This book is about how I taught myself to harness my own power and how anyone can help themselves to win the battle of addiction. It is a useful book for an addict or any loved one of an addict.

Sad? I am annoyed people are not enjoying what God has given us.

    Psalm 104:14-15
He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And vegetation for the service of man,
That he may bring forth food from the earth,

And wine that makes glad the heart of man,
Oil to make his face shine,
And bread which strengthens man's heart.
    Genesis 27:28
    Therefore may God give you
    Of the dew of heaven,
Of the fatness of the earth,
And plenty of grain and wine.
Like many gifts he gives, there are benefits but also warnings of abuse. Perhaps it is a test to see who is strong and who is weak and cannot handle such a gift. Sorry to hear you are a fail.

I do agree with you here, I refuse to believe the socially acceptable label of a "disease" that alcoholism has been given. I think it's total and utter bullshit, and nothing more than a crutch that alcoholics use to justify their behavoir. (Not referring to anyone here).

Alcoholism is not a disease, it's not a sickness, I don't even consider it an ism. It's an addiction, the same with any other drug.

Aside from that, Heeter, this is one instance where I'm going to come right out and tell you to jam it up your ass. You're way out of your usual self-proclaimed "I just spent 4 years at a major university studying business and economy like everyone else, so now I know how every facet of the world works" sphere of rhetoric that you usually pump out. So please, put a sock in it. Just this once.

You know everything, I hope that continues. Unfortunately if you survive to be older you will realize you don't know everything.

I submit the fact that you are making fun of my name, a name based in nonesense that I have hit a chord and you are sad. Blunt, please give the child a hug.
