Next phone will me an LG most def! :D
Was your first phone the VX3300, it was quite a popular model they had a few years ago. It sounded like the one you were describing.

Dont listen to James. He is biased.
You'll be fine if you stick with a Blackberry that is not a Pearl.
You'll be fine if you stick with a Windows Mobile phone. Verizon has what I think is the only flip phone with camera that runs WM available in the US? Lots to choose from. Not all Verizon phones run the Qualcomm OS.

I recommended the Treo/Centro because its a small basic phone that can do just about everything he would want. I can't recommend a Crackberry due to how much I despise RIM though...

Yea, the 8100 was a great phone. My original battery went bad on me after a year, and I got a new one. My screen started seperating or something on the inside. But, functionality wise, the thing worked great and was like a mini-brick!

If you want a basic phone, get a little Palm Treo or Centro, best of both worlds (affordable, and they don't have 90% of the features removed by Verizon)- Sean Hayes

The new LG Dare looks cool but seems like a poor attempt to make an iPhone copy and make it seem like they didn't. It lost the flip open QWERTY keyboard the voyager had and only adds a bigger screen. Might be cool to some, but I would not like to use my touchpad as a QWERTY keyboard...they're would be typos everywhere.
Thread I started about it.
I just got it and went to the store to try out all of the phones. It was by far the best one I could see. It also has a good music player as well (I use it as my "ipod").

I'm entirely not reading this whole thread, but I have Verizon and have had one of the first vCast phones, its that old, but it's got a lot of stuff it can do and has great reception. You can't get it from Verizon anymore, but you can order them new on eBay. Infact I just replaced my old one with a new one I just bought off eBay.
It's a Motorola e815.

Not all crackberrys are created equal. I support all of them out. PM if you want details.
