Not Bush's fault for your shoes, it's the goddamn democrats and their ignorant desire for higher minimum wage. Higher min wage, less jobs for people like you who are not valuable or lower margins for businesses. People should be paid what they are worth, and price floors always mess up the economic playing field.

I'm not gay. Stop projecting yourself unto me. I only have one, and never said I was proud of it, just that I was wearing one in the picture blunt posted. Learn to read.
I could deal with being a janitor. But like I said, not hiring. Once again, learn to read.
You're retarded. If a job that was hiring required basic math skills, I wouldn't give a shit because I don't HAVE basic math skills. FAIL.
PS - If you're ever in houston hit me up. I'll let you mow my grass. My yard is 101x175 and my house is 46x65. It's located in the middle of my yard. I'll pay you $.001 per square meter.Last edited by Turf1600; 07-17-2008, 06:32 AM."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."Comment

Media loves DOOM and GLOOM and like to get people more worried than they should, which influences decisions which hurt progress out of recession.
Like blowing up Indymac bank failure doesn't spell good things for the economy as a whole with it being out of proposition.
The leadership of the nation have the best interests to not tell everyone the economy is shit when it's not even been half a year yet. Yes, the short term inflation is record, but that is a given after Ben's lowering of the interest rates, which is to help credit situation and also the economy. Long term things should work out, hopefully... but selling DOOM and GLOOM because people will pay attention does us no good.
Newspaper sell bad news more than good news.Comment

It's not a full blown denial that there are issues, it's the definition of recession which calls for a 6 month trend which hasn't been experienced yet.

Some areas of the US are experiencing a worse slowdown than others. You wouldn't notice much up here - a few more poor people driving shitty cars (high gas prices), but you can still get a decent job. I would expect places that saw a huge real estate boom to be hardest hit - which includes Atlanta. Housing prices are dropping like crazy, banks are struggling to stay afloat, and people with no place to live are going to move somewhere else.
just to give you some perspective - back in the 1990/1991 savings and loan crisis, something like 900 banks failed that the fed had to take over. This year, there have only been 5 - we aren't through it yet, but don't let the media's doom and gloom stories make you think this is the worst thing we've ever been through.
Most of you guys are pretty young, like 19-20 - you've never been through a bad economy. the worst thing you've seen was the dot-com bubble and 9/11, neither of which were especially bad. basically, we've had 20 years of non-stop growth, and none of you know what it's like to go through a bad time.Comment

HI. its me chiming in. i notice a slow down in sales and i also notice a slow down in my wifes dental practice. she specializes in cosmetics which is cash only and no insurance. when things slow down people quit spending money on things that arent essential. you sound like you have goals and a good head. youll do fine. i predict in 10 years youll have your own medical practice and asbradley will be cleaning your garbage cans until you get sick of his shitty work ethic and fire himComment
