I had a notchback as well as a Lincoln Mark Vii (still foxbody). We called it the 5.0 in a tux.
I wouldn't rate them any more unreliable than any other 15+year old car. Aftermarket support is huge.
But, you said daily driver? Then, no., don't get it. One of the only cars i've owned where you can physicaly watch the gas guage move as you drive.turk@gutenparts.com

I've owned 3 fox body cars. The LX mustang and the Pinto (with 2.3L engines) were nearly indestructable. The Thunderbird (that had a V6) gave me a several headaches but it was still fun to drive. IMO the fox body cars were relatively easy and cheap to fix. I don't know how many are in the junkyards these days but back in the early 90's but I had no problem finding parts because I had a variety of cars to choose from.Comment
