What's laughable is - you think people that are bright enough to make a fortune are stupid enough to lose it all paying taxes.

    Your ignorance is showing.

I wish "the top" would GTFO of this country. It'll leave more money for me to make off people like you.

As far as "doom & gloom" are concerned - it's not a policy. It's the legacy of the Bush Administration. Keep your head in the sand, and I'll come tap you on the shoulder when the shit really hits the fan.

The "top" can move to Singapore and do business if they want. There will be plenty of enterprising individuals here to take their place, pay their taxes and make a fortune.

The rest of you can just sit around, read rightwing propaganda, and whine about Democrats, welfare cases, liberals, and the injustice of the American tax code.

I paid $246 in federal income tax last year. Not bad for an ignorant old man, right? Why don't the rest of you turn off Rush radio & Fox news and get to work on minimizing your taxes or making more money?

Frankly, I'm getting tired of your whining.

If you're part of the top... wtf are you doing on r3v posting like this? People "at the top" would laugh their ass off at you.

You must pay your accountant pretty well based on what you owed the fed.... which is good because that helps out those of us in that industry.

It's not whining... it's a philosophical difference in the way things work. It's seeing the benefit in trickle down economics. It's realizing how free markets do a better job at spreading wealth than the government because the GOV can't maintain those handouts without running into the situation that we are currently in.

Helping people out is not a problem, but you are doing far more for society by providing people with the opportunity and job growth which allows them to take control of their own lives versus these so-called "handouts" that you're talking about. I don't have a problem paying taxes and having it help some people who are less fortunate, I have a problem with the rhetoric that makes successful people and companies the bad guy.

Do you understand that you're a walking contradiction? On the one hand you want higher taxes and wealth redistribution, but on the other hand you personally avoid paying taxes as much as you possibly can which would aid the people and programs that you otherwise are in support of.

          clearly not.

There are hundreds of organizations created for helping others out. It's not the government's role to steal from the rich and give to the poor. It's the fundamental job of government to protect people's life, rights, and property, not to redistribute to be popular.

is this where "the top" lives?

psssst: I never said I was "at the top". I said "you minimum wagers THINK you are at the top".

I pay my accountant well, and she gives me my money's worth. That's why you'll never hear me whine, bitch or moan about taxes. I know how to work the system, and I take advantage of the breaks and loopholes that are offered.

Deny it all you want - it IS whining. I hear more people bitch amnd moan about taxes than anything else. If you whiners would spend as much time and energy lowering your taxes as you do bitching about them, you could retire at 30.

I don't see anyone with money as a bad guy. I know they pay to play, and that's the way it should be. It's funny - I've met a handful of truly wealthy people, and I've never heard any of them bitch about taxes.

            Not even once.

I want to reverse the wealth redistribution that Bush has wrought over the past 7.5 years. It's a two-way street, and right now it's all going in one direction.

As far as taxes are concerned - the people who are too stupid/lazy/weak to minimize or negate their tax burdens can keep paying for the people who are too stupid/lazy/weak to get a job.

Makes no difference to me. I got mine. ;)

Wow, you met a handful of people that didn't talk to you, a guy who makes money off ghetto people in the dirty south, about taxes.

You're a fool. More money has come from the upper tiers to pay taxes SINCE the marginal tax rate cut... and the poor have paid a lower percentage of federal taxes!

If Obama chases companies and intelligent people out, there won't be taxes collected from them here. And there won't be revenues to pay for his social programs and decades-old ones that fellow Democrats started but didn't think out how to keep them funded.

Why is reducing incentive to work harder and make a higher income good for the economy?

Why is shutting the fuck up and figuring out how to work the system a foreign concept to you?

If Obama chases anyone out, people like me will be right there to take up the slack. I'm ready. Go ahead and convince all those poor corporations that they should leave now.

I didn't know contracting out the replacement of broken windshields was an expanding industry...

But hey, if everyone cheated the IRS, then what would tax revenues be then?

(considering most people work normal jobs not dealing with ghetto customers)

Who's cheating? I've been in business for 14 years, and I haven't heard a peep from the IRS.

I'm not limited to the glass business. I'm multi-talented. :)

Shouldn't you be convincing all those poor corporations that they should pack up and GTFO? Why are you wasting time with me? I'm not going anywhere - ever.
