Luxury, high performance cars do break down more. Look at the cars at the bottom of the list.

        fixed

I mean you can buy a Citizen watch, keep it for a decade and never expect to have to clean it, etc.

Try that with a high end Swiss watch.

        Same principle.

I don't understand.... The bottom of the list is not made up of high performance or luxury cars, except for maybe Land Rover. The top of the list includes Porsche, Infiniti, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz...

Its mostly about bitching. Who bitches about their car more. Someone getting their first new car isnt expecting the world. They paid 10k and they expect a 10k car.

Pay 5 times that and you expect 5x the car. That means you wont deal with satnav glitches or a creak on a convertible top.
            Im now E30less.

BMW does have a few issues. The climate control servos have a habit of going out, the interior materials aren't great (Although all models got material and slight design overhauls in the last few years, and they are much better now) and the aforementioned recommended sevice intervals cause their fair share of problems. And, of course, there is iDrive...

There's nothing wrong with my car. I have one cluster bulb out but that's it.
