Nascar Race at Fontana (California Speedway) next week

    Flame suit is on.

Anyone else going to the Nascar race next weekend at Fontana? Should be a good time.

Attending nascar is like going to baseball games, its fun but watching baseball or nascar on tv is boring!

You're so lucky Ted! I wish I could watch rednecks make 1000's of left turns for hours upon hours in cars with 1920s technology!

              j/k man, have fun :)

It's only 15 min. from me, but, nope, I have not attended, nor do I plan to. I used to be a total NASCAR junkie back in the ninety's, but when Nextel/Sprint took over, Dale died, COT came online, It's all been a clusterfcuk of sales/marketing. It lost it's glistening shimmer and now only wears a patina of salesmen soot. I also enjoyed the IROC races back then, getting to see all the varied talent of drivers the automotive racing world has come together to run one another. Now NASCAR is like that. More and more open wheel guys will be jumping ship with the demise of their respective series (IRL/Cart) and swim over to the murky shores of big bucks NASCAR.

Speaking of NASCAR... I had to share the track with one at Pocono the other day.
