This is exactly why so many young people are behind him. Not because he represents real change but because he represents big government taking the place of Mommy & Daddy after they graduate college.

I particularly love his speaches about taxing the big evil oil companies and to punish their profiting ways. Because anytime you tax a business distributing a basic commodity you're only making the situation worse for the consumer. Do you really think you can tax a company MORE and for the price of their product to remain the same?

Let's just leave it at the guns and God thing. Palin went in front of 40 million people and lied her ass off. If that doesn't affect your opinion of her, let's not get into taxes on home sales.
My small condo is more than that in Miami and my family house is more than that in Mississippi. My family has many acres that is prime commercial zoned real estate. I am not for more taxation. Flat tax if anything!

BTW, I have worked for everything, I was NOT handed anything including me paying for my own college/flight school.

So you're saying that you'd make more than $500K in profit from the sale of these properties or are you saying that you didn't read it correctly?

I would make more than $500k on the sale yes more times over.

Here ya go, more than welcome to look it up. I erased the phone number and website so some of you will not prank me all night long.

We just sold that little piece that says airport property 35 acres to the airport. Deal closes next month. IT will be public record then. So follow it if you like. That is only about 10 percent (140 acres left) of what I am working on. That is all family property. To hell if that is going to go to someone that will not get off their ass and work themselves.

Have you checked house prices lately? You're saying that after selling each property, you'd make a profit on each property of more than $500K. I'm not asking if it will sell for more than $500k. If that's the case, WTF are you doing here?

Yes we stand to pay a capital gains tax of more than $500k just on the property listed above. Here it is on Google Earth. We surround the airport. Its been a family investment in the making since the 50s. My grand father retired as a United 747 captain in 1981. I am here because I am not going to go out and spend every earned dime I make. I enjoy driving my E30 and also drive a Lexus IS. I dress nice and go to nice places. Headed to Alaska on the 18th for 2 weeks. I plan to keep this going for future generations, not spoil myself with fancy cars and such. The company is my mom and I as of now. My brothers and sister are also included but brothers are Military. My sister married a doctor.

If you go to the local forum you can see where I just moved up here to help this out. Its posted on myspace as well. Some of you have that address as well. Some of you have met me personally and I am not what most see me as online. The locals Im sure would stand by me.

So yeah, I am all for working hard and not being taxed for my hard work.
I hate government with a passion and feel they are all crooked. I just try to pick the lesser of two evils. Thats all, not looking to fight.

BTW Severcorr, will be changing their names to Severstal in just a month. So that will jive with the ad I posted earlier.

I also own a barschool in Miami called Elite Bartending School, LLC. I do that for fun because my wings were clipped. I am not flying as of now because I am also fighting a battle with Cancer. Another reason I do not spend foolishly.

Well you might not want to vote for Obama due to the capital gains tax, but I'm pretty sure Heeter will never have anything to worry about. I can't believe he has a job with 15K 500 word posts.

Sorry to hear about the cancer thing. That's got to be a very difficult thing to deal with.

Horsehit. They got along fine without them before. As does every other manufacturer.

Caps and limits on MedMal cases have done ZERO to lower docs costs/premiums. This is a myth started by their insurance carriers to cover their bad investments. I can dig out the data if you want, but that's another thread.

Not saying they are not responsible, but 100 million or some stupid figure needs to have a cap. What about someone that is DUI that hits and kills someone? How much do they get in an award.... Nothing like if a doctor fucks up. Everyone is human, there are going to be mistakes. And Gun manufactures should not be held liable, thats like holding car manufactures to auto deaths!

FYI Dave, In my fight for cancer. Before it was diagnosed Baptist Hospital of Miami said it was my Gallbladder and removed it. IT HAD NOTHING to do with my true diagnosis. How much is that worth, now that I have no Gallbladder? I have 4 scars on my stomach, and went though some pain for surgery. The bill was $90k for the surgery. IS that worth Retirement? The lawyers said it would only fetch enough to pay for the mistake. FL, hospitals do not have to pay for their doctors mistakes. Im fine with that, did not need it anyway. Just remove the bill. If anyone can get on doctors for fuck ups, its me. I had been diagnosed wrong 4 times before they found the Tumors in my spine. E30GANStA and a few others were there then when they finally did!

Yup - people dont realize that MedMal cases are not worth these huge windfall amounts of money, and I am not debating they should be. There is no need for any artificial caps. Your situation is typical - yet somehow people think that if the surgeon leaves a sponge in that people get multi-millions and the doc goes out of business. The OB-GYNs are the worst about spreading the falsehood of it all.

                          But anyway . . . .

Car manufactureres should be responsible only if the car is defective. Generally, should be the same rule - only if the gun is defective -- and that generally is the law. You buy a pistol, go to the range, and because of a manufacturing defect, it breaks, discharges, etc and you get hurt/killed, they should be held accountable.

Why should they not be responsible for the integrity of their product?

I agree with you. Ford/Firestone knows all to well about this. Gun Manufactures dont make ammo for that reason. Its more likely that the ammo would be the cause of a gun malfunctioning than the gun itself. People reload so its hard to say where the ammo came from some times. IF the gun cycles 2+ rounds per pull of the trigger, creating a machine gun. Then yes if all parts were from factory and assembled by the factory then I agree. But many guns are modular and can be pieced out. I do that with most of mine. Build them like a build a custom car. If I don't know what Im doing it could lead to harm or death. But the parts manufacture should not be held unless it was a defect in metal or design. And that's really hard to prove.
