    I hate how the new Routon or whatever is just a re-badged Dodge *fail*

    as nice as the new mk5 jetta/golf/rabbit drives, I wouldn't have one

      Any ideas on why the Check engine light went out? Once a failure is picked up I would think the light would stay on until the failure is cleared in the computer.

        some intermitant failures will clear after a few key cycles
        Did you/someone disconnect the battery maybe?

        but the code should still be there

          Nope, battery was hooked up and charged the whole time.

            oh ok. Still, some close-call "failures" may be intermitant glitchs, and as I said they will sometimes clear in a few key cycles.
