I was in high school biology. They made our class go into the dance room where they had a TV playing. I remember discussing with my history teacher who may have been at fault.
"We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."

Alright that is fine that you "dont give a fuck what i think" as long as this does not turn into an argument on the anniversary of such a horrific day, I don't care. I was just trying to say that no matter what anyone thinks, everyone understands that it was an absolutely terrible day, and it will live on in infamy. Sorry if i offended someone i just do not want people arguing today about this.

I'll never forget that day for as long as I live. At the time it occured it was quite early in the morning here on the Left coast - I was just waking up and about to lace-up my shoes and go for a run when I heard the news announcement on the radio. Needless to say, I didn't go for that run. Instead I clicked on the TV and watched it all unfold. About a month or so prior to the attack I was in Manhattan for a week, and one of the highlights was going to the top floor observation area of the south tower.

I just couldn't fathom that both of those massive structures were gone as I watched the TV.

                Never forget.

It's good to see that we all felt the loss of 9/11 in our hearts as a country. Regardless of race, religion, color or car we drive. It took me over one hour to get to my wife and two more before I cold get hold of my pregnant sister in law. We all stayed at my wife's office where there was food and facilities until it was deemed safer to move. Did not make it home out of NYC, till 10:00p.m. when they opened the bridge for a few minutes, I drove a borrowed car from a person I barely knew who was happy to lend us the car so we could get home. All this time not knowing if there where more attacks to follow and if we would ever see our children again. But it was the faces of the Fire/Police/Sanitation and all the caregivers who you would encounter in the months to come who had the tattle-tale white ash on their uniforms and shoes. Those faces told the story...

George W. Bush may have (ab)used 9-11 as a political tool after the fact, but there is no way anyone can honestly believe our government was behind it. Even with the evil that is Dick Cheney in the administration . . . .

I knew only one person who was killed that day. A family that lives in our area who had three sons all around my age lost their second one. The first died in a freak accident falling off a pedestrian walkway after a Reds game a few years prior. The one that died that day worked for one of the investment firms in the WTC.

In our country of 250+milllion, it is amazing to me how many people knew (within one or two degrees of separation) someone who was killed that day. Lets think about those people, and honor their loss.

Do you guys remember like a week or two before this happened, a crop duster flew into a building in Florida? That was accidental though, I believe. I woke up and saw this, just thinking "wow someone REALLY fucked up this time". That was until the second plane hit, which I did see live.

A horrific event that no one will forget, is true. Sad to see those innocent lives lost, for no good reason.

(Car addict, youre like a little 12 year old kid who has to get the last word in. Just shut the fuck up already. No one cares about your theories or people hating you. PM blunt if youre steel feeling it.)

May those who died 7 years ago RIP. My views in no way discredit their deaths by making them any less noble just because of what I, and other Humans believe.

I remember the morning well. I was commuting in to work when a local AM DJ broke the news about a small plane hitting the Trade Center. I called my wife at home and she put the news on.By the time I got to work it was clear it was no small plane. A friend and work associate were killed on the plane that hit the Pentagon.
This attack was than Pearl Harbor in my mind as it was on our shore in our front yard.....

I was sitting in my patrol car running radar when it happened. About a year later I left the police department and joined the Transportation Security Administration. I have been with the TSA since it's creation. Airport Security has not improved. In fact with our current turn over rate, it continues to get worse. Sadly to say someone could easily bring a bomb on board a plane.
