i have a 2ND gen chocolate and i want a ring tone that Verizon does not offer and i don't want to pay them anyways.

buy the cable to connect you phone to your computer then download the program to transfer data to your phone from your computer and you can be like me, which I now have 30 full songs on my phone and all of my ring tones are custom made with the program.

Interestingly enough, I have a "Music Essentials" package for the Chocolate II. It comes with about everything you'd need to upload music/ringtones and store it on your phone. Let me know if you're interested and I can get some more info out to you.

sorry to thread jack..but does anyone here have the first gen iphone? ive had it for about a year..but i pay 90 a month and i got the cheapest plan + unlimited text. anyways, i heard there is a way you can do 'pay as you go' on your iphone. is this true? ive done some searching but couldnt get a definite answer.

I've got the 1st gen iphone. Really havent heard of a pay as you go, but maybe with a jailbroken phone it would be something else. I too pay 90 a month... its the price you pay to have the intrawebz on a phone. A data plan for any other att phone will cost you an additional 30 a month on top of what you are already paying... which will pretty much bring you at iphone monthly price if not more.
