That looks awesome! How much trunk space would we lose? Would it benefit if we have both the tower bars and these? Just throwing some ideas out there.

But it does do more, you see the floor of the e30 trunk is kind of like a paint can lid...

Torque is transmitted to it via the rear diff mount...

Needs something there...

So are you implying that a piece will extend from the RSM cross brace - and bolt through - the trunk floor to tie it all together (a la triangulation)?

Sort of along the lines of this, minus the battery....

Oh BTW, the box and shelf came in today, haven't had a chance to open them up since we will be moving in a couple of weeks and I'll probably wait until then to install.
