I read you could put up to 8gb in it on one review.

But now that my Tmobile contract just ended I don't know what phone I'm going to buy. Tulsa isn't on Tmobile's 3G and probably won't be for sometime, however, ATT does have 3G in Tulsa.....

^I'm in the same boat. My contract is up with t-mo. There will be a slew of new phones coming out I'm sure.

I really though that with the new iPhone that the old non-G3 iphones would be a dime a dozen on ebay. Guess not.

^ those are the major drawbacks this phone has when compare to the iPhone, and that sux it has no headphone jack.

this is where I usually go to find out more about gsm phones

Has anyone got their hands on it yet? I'm debating if I should pick it up cause my BB just took a crapshoot and I might as well pick up a new phone soon. I still got a contact till 03/09 though...

Too bad Tmobile fucking blows. Another attempt for exclusivety on a shitty service. I suppose if you're in NYC or another major major city it will work well.

              Im jealous though!

t-mobile will unlock the phone for you to be carrier free after 90 days if you want, which means someone figuring out how to do it is bound to happen the day of release

I've been with T-mobile since Voicestream. Been very happy with it and no complains :) Once in a while they'll fix my screwups for using more min than I had. So all in all I'm happy :)

As for the G1, only concern is email. Right now I BB and gmail pushed through. If I go with G1 I'm stuck with gmail only, so that's one of my biggest selling point. Also what type of instant messenger does it have as well.

BB messenger is really nice, but nothing sparks my eyes other than the BB Thunder, but Verizon is the only carrier for it :(

Luckily there is a nice little feature in Gmail that many people dont know about. That's the ability to check your 3rd party imap/pop accounts within your gmail account. :)
                    tasty

Ha speak of customer service. So my BB is fine now, but still debating if I want a new phone for the heck of it. Well I went into my local Tmobile store and asked them if they sold the battery for my Pearl. They didn't so one of the reps went to the back to check and see if they had spares/returns and grabbed one for me and just swapped it out. FOR FREE!

                      So happy today :)

Also found out as S0urce mentioned you can still check your gmail, yahoo, hotmail and so forth with imap/pop, but corporate emails will not work with this phone.

^according to who? It's definitely possible to check your corp. email through gmail. I've tested it myself. Any imap server can work through gmail.
                        tasty

Why is this thread at two pages with no mention of the reason why the release of this phone is huge. Android!!!!!!

Though I've read already that this phone will only work on Tmobiles 3G network, not anyone elses 3G network, even if you get Tmobile to unlock it for you. Something about the frequency they use.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

I read an article written by a iPhone developer, about all the hoops developers have to jump through. And at the end of it, apple can reject your app.

People will be giving programs away for this new phone - no app store BS. It should be exciting.

I've been with T-Mobile for about 6-8 years, no major complaints at all. I've been out contract on my razr phone, I think I might just upgrade to this one.

We cant even begin to imagine the crazy shit people are going to design for this OS. Not to mention the $10 million that Google has set aside as rewards to developers.
