Didn't Sarah Palin make fun of Joe Biden for his age before the debates.

yeah there you go.....her dodge from katie couric's question was pretty bad. But I'm sure it would of been worse if she admitted that she was making fun of his age and that it was stupid of her to comment on it when her running mate is 6 years older.

We weren't talking about his qualifications. We were talking about his age!

Reagan was 69 when elected. Three years may not sound like much, but take it from someone who has watched both parents die-people of this age can go downhill very quickly-seemingly insignificant things can take them out. Reagan, in spite of his age had a VP somewhat more seasoned than Palin.

Reagan's "Plan B" was GHW Bush who according to history, at the age of 18, postponed going to college and became the youngest naval aviator in US history. He served until the end of the war, then attended Yale University. Graduating in 1948, he moved his young family to West Texas and entered the oil business, becoming a millionaire by the age of 40.

Palin can see Russia, but has never actually been to the town from where it is visible. :)

Supreme Court Justices generally do not contend with the same sort of schedule the President maintains. There is near constant travel, and regardless of whether it's across DC or across the globe, it takes a toll. Multiple daily meetings over a wide range of topics-and the man already looks a little addled from time to time.

Not to take anything away from a Justice, but it appears to be a far less physically demanding job.

And again, this wouldn't be near the problem it is for many voters were he to have a better "Plan B" than Sarah Palin.

Word. I liked McCain years ago, but time changes everything. I am not confident he will make it through his term while maintaining full control of his faculties. A different pick for VP and I might well have supported the ticket. But Palin as pres is simply unacceptable, and far too likely, should McCain be elected.

So I will vote for Obama, if only to keep Palin and her Jesus Horses many thousands of miles from the White House.

There are two choices, period. Neither are what I want bit between McCain & Obama the choice is clear.
My choices are Socialism with Barack and a Dem congress or the *chance* that McCain will do the right thing and make choices that will help this country. I look to history for guidance, and there are at least six major red flags in Obama's past and present that make him someone I would never vote for. I don't like McCain, he's too moderate for my tastes, but he has always worked in a bi-partisan way to do what he felt was right for the country, and I respect that. Obama is fluff; he has very, very little to claim in terms of actual accomplishments aside for winning elections. I'm amazed so many people buy into what he's selling. Unfortunately, I imagine it's pretty easy considering we're coming to the end of eight years of Bush.

I never complained about the price, I pointed out that the price went up 300.00 in one year.

Bush entered office with a surplus. Where did that go?

Neo-con's have co-opted the Republican party, harnessed the votes of the religious right, and in my opinion have enacted policy and made choices that generally only benefited their own.

Most liberals make the common mistake of lumping all us "Republicans" or "conservatives" into one group and thinking that if we're one of those we must support Bush and his policies. A truly conservative president would not have signed the bailout bill.

I agree with you that change is mandatory, but I will never agree that a move toward a socialist nanny state is the right choice for America. I believe we need to exactly as any other entity (business, individual, etc.) would have to do when they have a very large debt: cut spending, pay off our debt, lower taxes after the debt is paid off, and keep spending low. If we did that the economy would explode.

I am not thrilled with any of the choices but the Republicans have made a mess so large that change is mandatory.

Sure I have herd that, but I also point fingers at the people that caused the problems. No one man can run and be accountable for everything. If Obama does in fact become president, are you willing to say from Feb 2009 on anything that happens on his watch is his fault or success?

You still taking offense on the ticket deal. LOL, I just said you had no clue on how tickets were rated. I even provided proof on Airline Fuel Futures and how they work. If you have set times and dates to fly, you cant bitch if they are not like they were a year ago I hope you make more this year than last. If your flexible either days or or times of days you can save. I just flew to Anchorage Alaska this past month from Miami, first Class for just under $200 round trip. I guess I have not a clue on how to fly....

My Portfolio is not doing that bad. Businesses in the Alcohol Bar Business does well. People looking for a Second job or have Lost their job due to the markets come to us to help them get a competitive edge in the business. We work with them to find job placement and work with some vendors that do events in the Miami area where I can place up to 180 bartenders per event. Almost guaranteeing them their money back that they paid to our school. I dont make a dime from the job placement.

The Land aquisition deals have been going. Most of my property sits around a growing airport. If the airport wants to expand or businesses want to come in and support the airport they have to buy from us. Right now its a good time to be picking up land if you have liquid money. With this land deal with the airport closing at the end of this week or next I will be able to go in and purchase other land that has taken a financial hit due to the market.

Like I have stated before, I could go out and purchase a really nice car and be a pimp for a day. You know what Im talking about living in Scottsdale. The $30k millionaires! But with my health situation and looking after my family I choose to live inside my means. My E30 is my fun car, and that is what brings me here. Its one of the funnest cars I have ever driven. I put less than 8k miles on it a year. In fact it sits in Storage as we speak.

Im not here to blame anyone. I just dont want to be told what to do and where my money is going to help someone that will not get off his/her ass and make something of themselves. I put myself though both College and Flight School. I would be flying today if it was not for my health issues. That is my first love. I have always been thinking of ways to get ahead and surround myself with people that have the same goals as I. I am always learning.

As for this market crash due to credit and housing, its not Bush's fault. Sure he could have done something but he is one man. I would not ever want to be president of a country. Its hard being president of a small business. But look into the problem from ground up and you will see its more than just one man that caused this problem.

For me, Im in a right position to help my company thrive on situations such as this. Just getting loans seem to be a harder thing to do but being able to put up aginst the portfolio helps. Just that I got to put more up than before.

The President gets credit for all the good that happens during his term & blame for all the bad. Has there not been a disproportionate of bad during his terms?
