    JFK making tons of jobs...?
this is true but its kinda rhetorical process. successful companies buying not so successful companies out, firing most of the executive staff and making it follow there successful footsteps. its pretty much the main squeeze for all the banks right now.

Lets see...up until 4 years ago, the economy was in very good shape. BUT: the country wanted a change from Bush so they elected a Democratic congress. WELL: the Democratic congress told us that all income levels need homes and we should accommodate them. Now blame the economy on George Bush. The president has no control of the economy....congress does. Now, do you really want a Democratic president who has already promised to 1. raise taxes. 2. Stop fighting terrorism overseas (so we can fight it here). and 3. make all illegals legal and have them collecting more of your tax dollars than they already do. Go ahead, be stupid: it is your right. Bumper sticker seen today "Stupid should hurt" and I'm sure the economy will if Obama is elected. Chuck

Problem is not just the executive staff. Its the guy making $10 an hour that does not give a shit about his job or does not have a clue on what he/she is doing in the first place making decisions that cost the company. The problem is people coming out of schools with a degree that have not a clue. The dumbing of America!

Thank you for proving his point.

Exactly what does the federal government do that equates them to a successful company?

The economy was not good 4 years ago. IT was a false sense of security. Everyone buying on borrowed money and living the dream on credit! Credit that they cant pay back today!

And to all the others, thank you for the information and intelligent replies. I just hate the idea of the government throwing tons of money at a problem without be able to give a expected return or result.

Sorry, at this time in history I have a severe lack of trust in the Government.

There are so many companies out there that will take a degree and pay shit. Most major companies are doing that today. And whos to say that the people with that degree knows what they are doing? How many of you have an absent boss per say. One that makes you do his work on top of your daily work load? Tons! Try to get a manager on the phone when you have a problem!

Consider that a grocery store has at least 5 different companies behind it that supply services to it, like transportation, delivery, maintenance, etc. At least one of those five is likely to be somehow screwed over by bank collapse.

Sure, if one link of the chain collapses, you can go to a company that hasn't collapsed yet. However, the load on that company will increase because the need for its services will increase greatly, and it will eventually go under for the same reason the first one did. Without credit, the chain is brittle, and your grocery store will indeed stop selling groceries.
State credit unions got money. They'll still be there when market collapses.

You do know the straps on the sub-prime guys were loosened, allowing those no credit loans, and all income levels needing housing back in 99 durring the Clinton Administration ( What party was Clinton again? )

Here i'll solve your problems. Move to Canada, we don't have complete tards in charge of our country, they're only mildly retarded.

And if you're from the southern states. Bring E30's we're running low on solid bodied ones.
